I don't like this new jenny on Outlander she doesn't have the smile like Jenny did, and I loved old Jennys personality. When she went off with Claire to help her get on the right road to search for Jamie, I loved how Jenny to control. She a strong female in 1700s And I loved her character and the Actress that played her.

Yeah, she was terrible. I wanted to see Laura Donnelly. I didn’t just want to see Jenny. I wanted to see the actress that plays her as well.

I think Kristin crushed it! How terribly hard must it be to replace an actress that was 10yrs. into a role!!! Our original Jenny was very stoic in personality and often physically rigid. I totally loved her! But, this little gal did a great job. This is a huge ask! She looked like Jenny. Her mannerisms were very much like Jenny’s. She had the Scottish brogue going on too. Not to mention - the BIG FAMILY REUNION at LALLYBROCH! No pressure there . . . I give this actress 2 big thumbs up! She’s gutsy . . . . just like our beloved original Jenny. 😉

@@Donna-tg4qj Thank you for your comments. I agree totally with you. It distresses me that Kristin has to bear unkind remarks, not because some people don’t like her performance (which I thought was excellent) but because they don’t like her wig or (worst of all) she isn’t Laura Donnelly. Of course she isn’t Laura, for Pete’s sake! Do people expect the producers not to cast someone else in this role to carry things forward? It doesn’t matter whom they cast, she is NOT going to be Laura Donnelly. Are these criticizers in touch with reality? I hope you will get over it. Kristin is carrying our Outlander forward when Laura Donnelly had no interest in doing so. I don’t think there is one single actor I can think of in Outlander who does not believe in their commitment to the show completely or who does not consider everyone in the production as family. Every single one I can think of would do whatever it takes to help the show progress. (Welcome home, Steven, Lotte, Nell, and thank you Graham for flying all the way in from New Zealand for just brief reappearances.) Just think of the sacrifice it has been for Sam and Cait to forgo other opportunities in their careers for the sake of continuing their crucial presence in this show and being part of this family. They care. For her own reasons, Laura Donnelly did not think this was sufficiently her family or that the show has sufficient importance to her or the fans to warrant her presence. Her stage career is preferred by her and she is doing great in it. She is apparently thriving in her marriage and family as well. She doesn’t think Outlander is important enough personally for her to come back to the show for the sake of continuity for the fans. Kristin, on the other hand, seems to me to be quite at home with her new family. I’m very grateful for her and think she is doing just fine. I hope people will be logical and just give her a break.

I think that you are ridiculous to seek the return of an actor who has made it clear for a long time that she did not want to come back onto the show. And a wig does not a performance make. If that were the case, people would never have forgiven Sam Heughan for some of the weird hair effects he has had in the past. I think your comments are mean spirited and not productive in any way.
