Chris I like the child-like enchantment of your blitz videos. Reminds me of a time I came into a smallmouth bait blitz on the Schuylkill River in the late 90s. One night right before dark in Limerick they were camped out on the downstream side of a point that jutted out into the river, smashing anything in sight. Only had that happen once ever. Stayed past dark and got lost in the woods walking back to the car but it was worth it.

really nice, that's the best present you can ask for and happy birthday!! i think the one bait that you picked up and couldn't identify was actually a sand eel. that's what kept the bass and blues going when they over fished the bait and stressed out the fishery in the past.
@fatihk.88967 жыл бұрын
Greetings from Amsterdam. Cool video's dude! Wish we had bass like that. The fishermen clean the whole bottom here and its full of nets around our shore. The weird part is the anglers are only allowed the keep one between july and december, if you at least can catch a keeper ofcourse. Good luck man!

Me and my dad were fishing on the same day on the same beach and we were following this blitz to. We were on the other side of the beach by the 2nd bathing beach slaying bass. I caught 57 bass and my dad caught 45 bass and my dads friend caught at least over 100 bass that day. Tomorrow were going to the inlet in seaside to catch some fluke, July 30,2016.

U caught a big blitz the next year in 2016 too in this same area.....I was hoping this year would be the same but Striper fishing off the surf was horrible this year......nothing but schoolies.... I fished the same stretch of beach almost every morning and night the last 2 months and managed 8 bass and that was better than most did...... that must be why you're going steelhead fishing instead....good luck bro

Got some dumb question for you. Do I need to use a saltwater reel when fishing in saltwater? Does it keep sand out better than a freshwater reel? What do you do when you drop your rod and reel in the sand?
@hankparts73688 жыл бұрын
The salt destroys freshwater reels pretty fast but if you keep it well oiled and dry after every use then it's fine

Great action! How do you like that Tiralejo? I was looking into those for next spring here in RI since I'll be buying a new surf rod. It's either a 10'6 Tiralejo or a Mojo.
@ChrisMcIntee9 жыл бұрын
+Julio Lopez I really like that rod however the longer the tiralejo the more inconsistent they seem to get in their action, I felt some 11' sizes and didn't like the feel too much, however its all personal preference, definitely don't buy until you pick up the rod and feel the action and compare it to other rods.

@yakfisher86638 жыл бұрын
+SurfingBullDog yeah. less if they they are blitzing but other times they will take their time and look your presentation over and if u r fishing anything other than fluorocarbon, u might have tough time getting bit.
@SurfingBullDog8 жыл бұрын
+yak fisher thanks for the tip. I use braid, but will it work if I use a flourocarbon leader? How long should it be. I live in DC and the stripers in the Potomac are starting to bite
@yakfisher86638 жыл бұрын
i usually use a four foot leader of 50+ lb flouro if I'm fishing open water. if I'm fishing structure, like pilling or boulders, ill use a shorter leader so there is less risk of breaking off. also check after every fish for abrasion in the flouro. usually switch out the leader after a day of fishing or about 15 fish SurfingBullDog

what waders do you use I'm thinking of getting a pair for Christmas or my birthday
@ChrisMcIntee9 жыл бұрын
+Neil Drummond these are pro line neoprenes, they suck though haha I bought them in october and they already busted a huge, huge hole which I shoe gooed and then gorilla taped. Look into cableas breathable waders if you want a good cheap pair, can also check out LL bean or simms if you are looking for something higher quality with lifetime warranty.
@neildrummond57119 жыл бұрын
+Sea-Money Fishing thanks yea I thought they looked like the pro line ones those were the ones I was gonna get haha good thing I didnt
@ChrisMcIntee9 жыл бұрын
I used them 6 or 7 times before the giant hole appeared, not in the neoprene either, a seam in the boot busted so if I were to stand in the water with them like that my boot was instantly filling with water. theyre leaking in other places too. pretty pissed about that, I have no love for Pro Line waders.
