@@blessedboldingbunch384 My Hubby sells life insurance. You need your insurance license in your own state & then you can pay for additional states to be able to sell in those states also. Those states can range from $25 - $350 a state, but you possibly can make your money back in a sale or a few according to how much commission you make off the policy. Some companies will pay you hourly, pay for your schooling & buy your states for you but they "tie" you to certain hours". If you pay for your own schooling, work commission only (which can be scary), & buy you own states it can be more flexible according to the insurance company you work for. You also have to pay to update your licenses for each state every year (a few are every year). It can seem like a lot.
