I have the Greenstar and love the juice it makes. Then we got the Nama J2 and really really love the juice, batches, and cleaning. It’s a lot easier to clean than the Greenstar; which is painful.
@lamarwilliams1855 ай бұрын
Everything is like that. I love BBQ. I want a off set. I hate cleaning the Weber after every cook. While it’s hot is easiest. I’m normally tired after 13- 15 hours of being up smoking anything. Chicken has to be done in batches because of size. Buying two would be twice the cleaning. So either way it’s a all day affair!!!! LOL

You may want to upload the segment on the emulsionizer separately as it really is the best of the show. Definitely let us know when it is available for sale in the US. What immersion blender would you recommend that is low rpm and high torque? I'm curious how this would work for something like blueberries. I love them but the fiber tears up my stomach. And would something like banana, guava, or okra work, or would it be too thick, slimy for the screen?

I’m excited to see the entry-level Omega one. I bought an omega MC800 on Facebook marketplace for $30! I’ve never juiced before and I really do like it except for juicing tomatoes. My favorite thing to juice is a V-8. But omega’s do not do well at all with juicier, fruits and vegetables at least my model. I’m wondering what juicers would do well with those types of things such as tomatoes, cucumbers, juicier veggies and are still easy to clean. Maybe the new omega will do the trick. Sometime would you mind juicing tomatoes in different models/brands?
@discountjuicers5 ай бұрын
That is an excellent deal on the NC800, which is perfect for leafy greens, celery and even carrots, not so much for fruits, although if you alternate carrots and tomatoes, it should work well. A vertical auger juicer works much better for fruits, so the Omega VSJ843 if you can find one. Of course these days I prefer the Nama J2 that juices tomatoes and other fruits as I show kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2PTe2yahahjjtk
@beckyorstevejohnson78385 ай бұрын
@@discountjuicers thanks for your response, I know how busy you are! I watched your Breville vs Slowstar review last night. (The juicing only tomatoes) So now I’m considering bumping up to that one. I would love a Nama but that price is a little daunting! Lol. I think you talked about a new omega that is coming out in your video yesterday, so maybe I should wait for that. There is a Nama J2 in Facebook marketplace for $320. So I’m considering that, I think they have a warranty that transfers. If they do, maybe I will go for that. It’s just a lot of money to buy a secondhand appliance.

Looking forward to H320 v Nama J2 John. I saw a couple of comparisons but I trust your reviews the most. Not sure about the Emulsionizer, after moving to Vacuum blending I can't help but think the stick blender is introducing a lot of air into that mix causing it to oxidise. Would a Vacuum Blender and Nutmilk bag do the same? Maybe do a video on this. Thank you John for all the information you provide.
@discountjuicers5 ай бұрын
The downside of the Emulsionizer is the air of course. For culinary uses introducing air purposely into recipes can be a desired thing. YES, provided you had enough liquid, you could blend up avocado skins, peanut shells, etc in a vacuum blender and then use alexas bag :) I did like how the emusionizer was really easy to clean.
@privateprivate12064 ай бұрын
Hi John, Great video! I just ordered the Emulsionizer from Spain, I didn't know it was available in the US. Anyway, wouldn't oxidation be lessened or null and void it the items are under water or liquid when stick blending?

They have changed my angers twice and I'm still having problems. When I juice pineapple and cabbage it turns into a mushy mess and all the cabbage doesn't juice and remains on auger. It doesn't juice celery really good. I'm just not happy with my J2. Any tips to make juice ing easier? Thx
@discountjuicers4 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear about your experience with the Nama J2. It is important when juicing pineapple to select the MOST hard and firm pineapple as possible. IF I was juicing pineapple and cabbage, I would precut all of it, (especially the pineapple core) and then mix it together in a bowl and add it to the hopper. I believe it should work ok. Can you tell me the exact ratios? I can try it. On the celery, the J2 should juice celery without an issue, just follow my specific directions in the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmianXiYZqtlfZI

6:39 The fact that they feel the need to compare vacuum blending to high speed blending and not slow juicing makes it harder to believe the benefits.

You have to compare apples to apples: juicing and blending are two different nutrient-extraction methods.
@somestuffithoughtyoumightl69855 ай бұрын
@@wonderfaller So when the car was invented, I guess horse breeders would say you can’t compare to an auto, you must compare horse to a mule (apples to apples). Juicing is juicing; cost, time, quality, convenience.

One has fibre and the other does not. Both are important.
@somestuffithoughtyoumightl69855 ай бұрын
@@disaacs915 Thanks, but that just creates more questions. In another video, he demos the Vitamix vacuum lid, but then swears by the Alexis bags to remove the pulp. Given the lower pressure of hand squeezing a bag, one would think the horizontal juicer would create more vitamin rich pulp than the sifted vacuum blended method. Also, if the pulp contains so much nutrients, why do people make smooth juice? FFIW, I plan to make pulp crackers
@discountjuicers5 ай бұрын
Each Vacuum Blending (or vacuum juicing) vs slow juicing BOTH have their pros and cons, each one may be better or worse for a person depending on what is being processed, IMO its best to vacuum blend fruits, while a person should juice leafy greens and other veggies. I encourage people to do BOTH to get the BEST of all worlds to maximize their nutrition,

FYI… Kuvings blenders/juicers have CA prop 65 warnings/cancer containing parts vs Tribest doesn’t. I bought a Kuvings CB1000 and returned it. Also, the Kuvings doesn’t auto close when you are done blending. The container was too small and doesn’t blend well or pull a strong enough vacuum. Overpriced flashy junk that causes cancer… and poor customer service. Buyer beware. My Tribest vacuum blender is the best!

It is true that I prefer the Nama J2 juicer over the auto10, although in my tests they perform almost equal in most tests but in a few test the j2 pulls ahead and in others the auto10 will be superior. Would love to hear about your experience about the J2, since it is uncommon for me to hear complaints about it.
