I have Kajal Homme, Homme II, Kajal IV, Lamar, and Almaz. Samples of others. All excellent. The encapsulation technology is fascinating. Sounds like it enables higher concentrations to be used. Once the water-based alginate capsules break, the perfume oils are released. As far as not being able to duplicate, I wouldn’t oversell that as a benefit. So one can’t copy the capsules, but it doesn’t stop perfumers from using Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectroscopy to reverse engineer the released fragrance as they always do. Sure, dupes will have ethanol as a carrier, so the other benefits of encapsulation won’t be realized, but I doubt that dupe buyers mind waiting a bit for ethanol to evaporate if it ultimately smells close enough to the original.

Tom, Wow- that was one great answer! I had no idea how clone manufacturers got so close to the original scent, I always wondered. Thanks! Since I have your attention, do you mind if I ask your opinion about House Kajal? While I do not have any of their fragrances currently, I’m very interested in them and which one would you recommend someone new to the brand starting with? I’m doing a little research and Maxaroma has at least 8 of their scents at half-price or greater discounts today: Homme, Homme II, Masa, Sareef, Alujain, Warde, Warek, Yasmina and there may be others but I haven’t gotten that far down the page yet. How peachy is Homme II? Peach is NOT my favorite note, and I see that it is the primary heart note, so that may put Homme II out of contention, but I’ll wait for your opinion to tell me how well blended it is with the cinnamon and other notes. @@nateriley4067 I like Homme II a lot. It doesn’t smell too peachy. It has a beautiful spicy opening, and the peach is very well blended. That would be my first choice. Thanks for asking.

Also, compare prices to Jomashop. They usually have the best prices, but I like MaxAroma’s shipping, lack of taxes, and customer service the best.

@@tom_schroeder Thanks for the reply Tom, and that’s what I was hoping you would say about the Peach note. I’m surprised by my luck, I just came across Scott’s Kajal video this afternoon, and Maxaroma’s Kajal sale ends at midnight tonight. Maxaroma usually charges $210 for Homme II and it’s actually under Jomashop’s price for a few more hours. I usually would find out about these type of sales about 15 minutes after they expire. Be well.

It’s all subjective and with out knowing your style it’s hard to say it’s definitely marketed as unisex but it leans a little feminine but i like it!!!!
