I honestly believe that grooming is possible at any age and isn't exclusive to p*dophilia or large age gaps. The important thing to look for in grooming is an unbalanced power dynamic. This can often be seen in relationships where there are large age gaps because one person presumably has lots of life experience while the other doesn't. A famous 20 year old KZbinr manipulating a 19 year old fan for explicit photos can be just as damaging as a 50 year old celebrity threatening blackmail against a 30 year old partner. The fact that his girlfriend is so much younger than he is indicates to me that he wasn't as successful at manipulating older women as he thought he would be, so he decided to go after younger girls who are less likely to understand how unbalanced the relationship really is.
