I can relate, more realistically than this. I had a best friend who I was friends with since elementary school. Our friendship ended after middle school because some guy tried to get in between us and he did. What I learned from this experience is that if it’s true friendship then you’d both fight for it and overcome it. We didn’t though so I got a reality check and realized he wasn’t a real friend and it was better left in the past. It’s not about how long you’ve known someone, it’s about who walks into your life and fights for your friendship. If they can’t do that then you know where you stand.
