If this ship is scaled the way I think it is, It's not the tiny B'rel class which is about the size of the Defiant, but rather a massive improvement of the far.... larger K'vort.

K’Vort was a battlecruiser, sadly they ran out of time and money to make a new model, so they reused the bird of prey model. It’s silly, I’m disappointed they didn’t correct this in the remaster

The klingons were literally like the russians. Basically you find a good design and make thousands of them. the Bird of prey is like a t37 tank. Even if they lost lots of them it was easy to make, and practically the mainstay of the KDF.

Seeing those projectile style disruptors reminds me of a tactic in Starfleet Command 3 that you could use against the Klingons. If you had a warp officer on your ship with maxed stats you could instantly engage a tactical warp and dodge their disruptors which was hilarious.

This was an interesting showcase. I dig the look of the new update for the Klingon BOP. I agree it's a shame we didn't actually see them change the design much in the 24th Century. Although the only Klingon BOP we saw in the 25th Century via Picard was the HMS Bounty.

GREAT FIGHT! Definitely a balanced ship and I can easily see losing the "head" no being an issue as it's just a weapon pod on this BoP. The bridge would be protected in the main body. Okay now give it THE NEMESIS test! Let's see how long you can last vs the Scimitar in this beautiful killer.

I think you could've taken the first battle if you'd used a more "hit an run" style of fighting, utilizing the cloaking device while torpedoes reload instead of tanking a volley of quantum's while turning and reloading. But maybe that's a more Romulan style of fighting...

That is a nice upgrade to the bird of prey, and it really makes you have to fly your Sovereign carefully to beat it. It really can pack a punch, so it's not just simply a hit and run vessel anymore.
