I think that the new comfort grips "upgrades" are really nice. You can also 3d print your own inserts, so if you want to put a company logo on each tool and maybe find away to permanantly affix them, could reduce tools walking away..

Thanks for the video! Eventually, it has no problem with cutting anything that fits between the jaws. I'm cutting stranded 000 AWS cable with my electrician's pliers.

Catching me after a long break! I took almost 4-5 months off from posting. Just kind of burned out hard for a bit. I’m Back and enjoying it again now though 😊. Welcome!!!

Glad to see you are back. I like where Knipex is going with this, but I’m not going to buy tools all over again. I ended up putting small pieces of different colored heat shrink on the handles, problem solved for a few bucks.
@MillisConstruction3 ай бұрын
@@carnold.knowledge Absolutely, I’ll just be adding these as I add tools. Hopefully they get the whole line out in these soon. The tethering is a bigger deal to me, I’ve been slowly adding tethered versions as I have to but this is way handier in that regard!

Long overdue... but absolutely awesome addition. This has been my one gripe with Knipex pliers for many years, I'm always looking for the right one and putting them upside down is just not as convenient.

I would be fine with all the Knipex comfort handles getting that notch system for labels. At least in theory! We'll see how people really like them.
@MillisConstruction3 ай бұрын
From what I understand, this is the new comfort grip handle so it should roll out to everything soon. The option will be there at least whether folks use it or not. I know I will be lol. I hate tools in bags with the business ends up 😅

What would you recommend for cutting 1/4” braided steel cables? The tool we use at work doesn’t seem like the right tool I can’t name it but it came with a hydraulic crimper tool. The cutter we use feels like you’re going to break your hands every time you cut a cable. Thankfully only do it once a week or so but I need something for that purpose! Maybe bolt cutters idk any recommendations? If bolt cutters what size would be perfect for just that purpose? Don’t want anything too massive for my tool bag and I need clean cuts since the cable needs to be pushed into a thing to be crimped.
@MillisConstruction3 ай бұрын
Knipex actually makes a small cable cutting tool, ive covered it a few times. I believe a wire rope cutter is what it's called? It cuts in a circular pattern and keeps from crushing the fine steel threads so its easier to re thread into things etc.

@@MillisConstructionthank you for getting back to me I’m going to check it out right now. The ones at work look just like that same style cutter just horribly cheap! Gunna need to try a set
