Love Knox's armored shirts and have th2 urbane pro 2 but not being a young, fit guy I look like a sausage if I only wear the shirt. This seems a touch more flattering for the dad bodded.

Priced correctly. Just look at the price of the competition. There are some embarrassing comments regarding the price.

I don't see why someone would choose the Tor over the Honister, which is $30 USD cheaper, AAA-rated and better looking, or the Urbane Pro/Utility MK3, which are rated the same, look better (Pro MK3), would likely layer better and are $200 USD less. Oh, and you can see through the material on the Tor such that the yellow shoulder armour is somewhat visible, even on the item page found on Knox's own website. This item doesn't make much sense to me when looking at the rest of Knox's offerings even when you take into account the packable water resistant (10,000 mm/24hr) shell. You could pick up an Urbane Pro/Utility and Dual Pro 3-in-1 jacket for about $50 USD more and have a significantly more versitile jacket system. Just putting it out there 🤷‍♂

Having tried in person all three mentioned, let me answer your implied question. The Honister is the heaviest. It has the same stupid flaw carried over from the old Knox Zephyr Pro. There is thick, THICK, material at the armpits. This sucks big time in the heat of summer, since this is exactly the part of your body that is supposed to cool you down through sweating. And I guarantee you this will smell like squirrels after the first ride (ask me how I know). Also, you lose a lot of the breathability at the back, due to the very limited mesh there. The Urbane MK3 is actually decent, but it lacks the very handy back pocket of the MK2 and has a very annoying neckline that digs into the front of the neck, below the Adam's apple. This annoyance has persisted in all versions of the Urbane. The Tor is the lightest and most flexible of the three. Possibly the least protective, too. Even though it is AA like the Urbane, it doesn't feel as protective. Two minor annoyances are the cuff closure and the very cheap looking logo on the right sleeve -- and I mean cheap Chinese crap level of cheapness. A bigger annoyance is that they sell you a membrane together with the jacket. The membrane is quite useless for motorcycle riders since it has no zip.

£170 more for a variation on the Urbane Pro Utility that includes a very cheap looking rustly and baggy rain cover, seems a bit much… How much is a decent pack able mac, £40? No zip also means it won’t go on over a helmet easily, huge annoyance. I like Knox’s stuff, but £400 feels like too much for a AA mesh jacket.

The Urbane Pro mK3 is great and totally worth its money, but this one is just a weird variation on it that I also can't make sense of.

I'm in the 'this is far too expensive' club too. I got a full leather jacket, with a removable thermal liner, level 2 armour all round plus and airbag... for £320. No way a mesh vest with no airbag should cost another £80 on top of all that! It's literally just a bit of plastic.

Knox items appear to be awesome and I want to purchase here in the states so bad. Unfortunately every single time I go to order, from whatever venue, Revzilla, and Plaet Knox itself, the items are always back ordered. You fill out email notification but never receive the notification. As of lately I was trying so hard to get some riding jeans and ended up having to settle for some Klim jeans. Bottom line, Knox to me is a complete let down for those of us here in the states. However, from the reviews I see, Knox is definitely the brand I would like to go with especially the gloves with the scaphoid protection. A complete shame acquiring their products is so difficult.

I have a pair of Handroid v2 and the Urbane Pro mk2, both ordered from Urban Rider. I just checked inventory on occasion

@@Otterplus you know I often check Urban myself. Just the currency exchange and their pricing is of course in euro. Never check if they like to do business in states or what if any hurdles there are. Thanks for the reply. Gonna check them for the gloves

@@edwinsantos827 please do. I’ve noticed their shipping across the Atlantic to Maryland is faster than revzilla could ever wish to be. I’ve placed orders on a Sunday and had them waiting at my front door that Wednesday, if not earlier. The only caveat is to make sure sizing is correct and accurate. Their suggested addendum to size charts is invaluable and put me in the proper size urbane pro.
