Bowl 1:#5 #1 #2 #3 in that order. As for the Asagi I really like # 6. Have to remember as they age the sumi comes to the surface i think # 5 has the most potential for its sumi is only starting to show and looks like it will connect well & already has a great kohaku pattern.

I know Leo wants #2! I like them all but you need to pick what YOU both think will be more beautiful after growing out a few years. I like #1 but only for the reason I like the body shape and the silly reason that I like that unique black dot on its nose. Asagi: #7 for me only because I like a deep Beni on Asagi’s and those pec fins are beautiful. Great video and enjoy buying your birthday gifts!! ❤ You’ll love whatever you both choose for your pond as I don’t think there was any bad koi in your bowls. I’m def no expert though 😂😊

Koi number 4 , on first glance then 2 is the stand out koi in the bowl, but when it’s lifted out of the water you can clearly see white skin through the beni on the edge of the scales not something that imo you want. I would also say koi 2 is a Sanke, anyway have fun in picking the one YOU want it’s a nice problem to have 😀

No 1 - Messy, weak beni. No 2 - stand out fish to the eye as its Shiroji is the best, however the Sashi and Kiwa are messy. The Sashi is very weak and limited. The tail is short. No 3 - Has a good profile and will possibly give you the best growth, A good balanced pattern with more sumi development on the left flank. No 4 - Has a better head pattern vs no3 but also has a good profile and balanced pattern. Will give similar growth to No3 also. No5 - To short in the body, big head will be a stumpy fish with growth. Decide between 3 and 4 in my opinion.

Number 1 definitely. When that sumi comes through on the head that'll be way infront of the other. Number 2 looks like it hasn't got much more to do

Asagi number 8 is phenomenal, very clean, that would be my choice. number 2 is nice and clean but probably not the one I would pick if I had to pick from those fish.
