As someone who can't stand the original "La Vie est Belle" I really love this one. I personally do smell the fruitiness in it, but I first mistook it for cherry. It smells somehow "sophisticated" to me. Elegant but different than most heavy wintery fragrances. It lasts well but isn't as "in your nose" as the Original one. People will notice but it's not a beast mode. The first "La Vie est Belle" I recommend.

@@AnnaF33 fragrance is very subjective- someone's favorite is another person's "no go." I would never tell someone not to enjoy a scent they love. And the fact that it's still a best seller shows that many people share your taste.

This is definitely an adult fragrance and it smells so deliciously deep and rich. The notes are amazing and I rarely go for fruity scents & aim towards floral/woodland/ocean type fragrances, but this berry is beyond great. I’ve had travel bottles of the pink one but this is the first one that I got in FULL SIZE. It’s definitely a feminine/women scent but if layered well it can pass off as unisex. LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE & your reaction ❤

LVEB soleil cristal has disappeared from New Zealand stores. I have a full bottle and 2 back ups. It's so gorgeous and summery and the bottle is to-die-for iridescent. The fragrance is a little like Flowerbomb Nectar if anyone is interested in what it smells like.

I have owned quite a few LVEB flankers. My favouriyes are En Rose and L'Extrait. I decluttered the Iris Absolue, Rose Extroardinaire, Intensement and EDT.

I tried it in store today. First thing that hit me was the berry scent. I couldnt tell that it was raspberry exactly but it was very much a red berry. I liked it quite a bit, which is nice since I can have a bit of an issue with these perfumes.

Hi Soki, I have tried the new one at my Ulta store. I can’t say that it’s going to become my favorite sadly. The bottle design is so gorgeous with that wine coloring and lovely black bow. But the notes must not be my favorite. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Possibly it’s leather that I dislike in it. It lacked the signature original Iris powdery notes. So the original is still my favorite. Possibly they can come up with a flanker next that I might like. It would have been wonderful for Fall and Winter season. Still a beautiful high quality perfume though for someone else.

As far as I know Guerlain Insolence is still available and was reformulated in a new 'beehive bottle' along with many other Guerlain perfumes a few years ago. I have one of those bottles.

Hello Soki 🌸 I have a 10ml travel spray and find the opening a super sugarred raspberry feast that gave me the same vibe of the discontinued Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming for about 10 minutes, then became a beautiful violet fragrance that had the same vibe as Celeste from Giardini di Toscana or Mallow from Sora Dora. They do not share the same notes, however the same vibe. Yes 👍🏻 it is a great quality fragrance with great longevity and projection. It is a solid release and my favorite flanker of La Vie Est Belle 😍🌺 Rose Estraordinaire is my second best 🌺

The initial thought when tested was black currant liquor. I love this. So enveloping. To me a gourmand leaning fragrance at first, then floral, creamy.

I got my few weeks back, I do like the Sparking raspberry on beginning but on my nose the violet takes over this fragrance, is beautiful but I'm going to wait until colder weather to use it...besides I love the bottle with black ribbon...I do have a "small" collection of La Vie (the original plus 11 flanker), is hard to pick a favorite but since I'm into fig I'll pick the Iris Absolute for now😁😉

I was lucky enough to receive a free sample buly mail. I love it. The Raspberry is beautiful and the violet must be the other I'm smelling. My favorite is the Soleil Cristal (which keeps showing Last Chance on their website) and I really enjoy the Intensément as well. I know a bottle of Elixer will be in my future.

I haven‘t tried this new LVEB release yet - but definitely will! I have had several flankers besides the OG in my collection: l‘Éclat EDP, EDP Intense, Soleil Cristal But my favourite was the Eau de Toilette (2014) with its delicious almond note. I wish Lâncome would re-release it😉

It might just be my impression, but it seems like something internal at L’Oréal has shifted, making Lancôme the luxury brand leading in skincare, makeup, and perfumes. I've always seen Lancôme as a very subtle, delicate brand, but with their new fragrances and advertisements, they seem to be adopting a vibe similar to Yves Saint Laurent or Mugler. To me, it’s like Yves Saint Laurent with an extra touch of delicacy, and Mugler with a bit more elegance and heritage. Additionally, I think it would be quite interesting if Lancôme introduced men's fragrances. Although I personally believe that such distinctions are largely unnecessary and each person should use what suits them best, imagining a Lancôme men’s perfume-featuring the brand’s signature rose but with notes associated with masculine fragrances-seems intriguing to me. Also, it might sound trivial, but I believe that women's fragrances are made to appeal to both women and men, and the same goes for men's fragrances. In the end, most perfumes can be somewhat unisex; it’s just a matter of having an open mind. Just my ramblings, haha.

I like it, mom likes it and a friend who has trouble with many perfumes after she had covid, likes it too, so it is a yes from Latvia 😂❤ for me and mom the strongest scent is raspberry. I have cold skin, maybe because of that. I am not a fan of others much from this line, they have something sharp to them, that I don't like.

Hello Soki :) Nice review, as always. This one to me smells too much like those violet sweets I use to have as a kid. Very of putting :/ Also, I notice you are always doing a superb job at pronouncing all the names of the perfume in French! If you want to improve your prononciation of some of these French names, know that « l’elixir » is pronounced like « lelixir », as it there is no apostrophe :) In French, « l’elixir » is the contracted form for « Le Elixir » (kinda pronounced like you did « L’elixir ») but it is contracted to « l’elixir » so as to not have two « E » next to each other and ease the ways it is pronounced :)

“L’eau de Parfum” just means “The Eau de Parfum,” like “L’Extrait” means “The Extrait,” and “L’eau de Toilette” is “The Eau de Toilette.” Like how we say, “I own the EDP, not the EDT.” Must just be how they like to write it on the box 🙂
