New Laptop: HP Probook 6560b

This is my first ProBook and it's an upgrade from an hp15 I rescued and kept alive for over a year. I'm impressed with this model, but I found the same battery issue. I bought a used battery because it needed a replacement. It holds a charge for 5hrs, but I noticed it only charges in sleep mode.

I have this laptop and I waited a while so I can stock up on these types of laptops because I didn't want to promote it and raise any of the prices until I stockpiled on them in case the GPU failed and cannot be reseated even with a heatgun. Probook 6560b's are good even in 2022 so long as you use supported OS's like Linux Mint / Ubuntu (being the best). Not many people will openly say it is a great laptop because it's a hidden gem that they only want to admire and get.

Just download a linux distro like ubuntu, it's supported. Two models of probook 6560b's exist , one with intel 3000 graphics and one with Radeon HD Graphics. It's no longer supported on Windows 10 but I think there is some drivers to make it work as if it's a windows 7 machine. Ubuntu supported Radeon HD graphics officially till 2021 but as you can see on github people still contribute it just won't be pushed to the automatic updates unless you do it yourself .

@@muhammedsayyanmp not really but i never reccomend windows 10 on any machine since its not a good os. you probably wont be able to install most hp software to use some of it functions

@@satno4224 yes of course but dont expect more than a pc and a keyboard, all its special functions would not work since linux does not support the hp software used to make functions work

@@stvpls you clearly never heard of the Mesa project on Linux. They support it more than windows 7 and 10. Ubuntu more than any . You can even make your own customizations using the 5,000 page documentation for developers on the Intel website for the Intel 3000 gpu which you can customize and fix for windows 10, but even though there's a fox , you signed a contract not to modify the software thus the windows has safe measures to deactivate your machine once you fix it. Linux does not. Linux is based off unix which no longer exists because the corporation died and patents are no longer in effect

I have that laptop. It can run roblox but not fortnite. It can run fortnite just not very well. I also have csgo which runs pretty well
