Same old airport story. Airport is built miles from city; developers build homes near airport; people are dumb enough to buy home near airport; homeowners complain about airport and think they deserve compensation for making a bad decision. On top of that, city approves development plan knowing full well there will eventually be a conflict.

You buy knowing that the airport is there and then complain. Why not sue mother nature for the rocky mountains blocking your view of the ocean? Move if you don't like it.

I had to sign an acknowledgement that I lived over an airport flyway when I purchased a home in Erie. People are feeling bad, but the ignorance of buying by an airport cannot be discounted here. I would also argue as a native of the area, that the wind generally blows from west to east in this area. I find it difficult to understand how the homes UPWIND of this airport complain of lead, but have not heard anything about lead on the DOWNWIND east side of the property. Natural uranium decays to lead, of which would be concentrated at the base of the mountains from deposition. It's time to find a new place to live.

The airport has been there much longer than your house, maybe you should of thought about it a little more before you decided to buy it. I had a problem with these houses being built taking over open space/pasture land when greedy developers thought it was a good idea. The airport has been there much longer than your invading, open space destroying neighborhood. For those who are complaining take your ignorance back to where you came from.
