Hard to beat led lighting! I changed all my fluorescent lights to led & what a difference. Plus in the winter fluorescent light don't like to work so good so it solved that problem too.

I had a flourescent fixture replaced with LED little over two years ago. It lasted a year. Installed another one and it lasted a year. I guess some are better than others. Going back to fluorescent I thnk.

Nice lights!! Ya, kinda important to get the polarity correct on LEDs.. can be a pain when wires aren't really red and black. Happy Belated Birthday Roosty!!

Thanks Ed. And those lights are marked for + and - but I have problems with wire colours most of the time.

@roosty6 I put LEDs on the back of the 3394 a few years ago. Had issues with polarity, as the wires sure look the same color to me.. I need to get some new ones, even when I did get it right, part of the LEDs in the lights wouldn't work. Used the same lights that are on the service truck, they all work great..

Happy belated birthday and those lights are the bees knees! i used to hate changing the lights on the 1175 and so wish we had LED''s like that back in the 90''s. cant wait for your outside test so see how much light they really throw but they sure lit the shop up

They sure make working in the dark a lot more pleasurable. I put a bunch on the combine this fall and it made a world of difference. Especially straight cutting at night. Considering doing the versatile for spring now too.

I have one or two originals that have been burnt out on the 1660 for years so I might as well replace them with LEDs. Can always use more light harvesting.

Nice upgrade. Are you going to change the lights in the front as well? I've been slowly changing all my equipment over to led. Most of them from Amazon. I also have been buying princess auto red or amber clearance lights, taking them apart and putting the led bodies behind the original lenses. Works quite well

Interesting idea on the clearance lights. I might replace some of the combine lights with LED. Especially the one on the unloading auger of the 7721. The original is very inadequate.

You will like those LED lights. The whiter light makes a huge difference. I have switched all of my tractors over to them. It is easier on the old electrical systems too. On my combine the amp draw went from 23 AMPs to under 8 amps. I found out after switching several of the round lights with the hard rubber grommets, that the new grommets are worth the money for ease of installation.

Yes the 40 year old rubber on the lights might be bit brittle but mine has been indoors most of the time so that helps.

What brand or model are those lights? I’d like to get leds that fit into the original light buckets on my 2290.

I don't remember seeing a name on the box. It came in an amazon package.

awesome, them LED lights will use far less power than the old ones did, we replaced the lights on our JD 4430 a while ago and it sure made a difference with the old ones. But the tractor has some electric wiring issues and doesn't want to shut the lights off unless ya turn off the engine.

One other thing that might help you in the future is use a little piece of masking tape or black tape or a small zip tie on the positive wire that way you always know which one is the positive one and less trips up and down a ladder and also for the rubber housing I found that a pail of hot water works good to soak the rubber in before you try and put the light in it hope you like the new LED lights and thanks for the video hope you had a good birthday 🎂🎈

Thanks Tom. Definitely would help if it was warmer and the rubber was more flexible. I took them apart and washed all the dirt out with hot water and detergent but the had cooled right down by the time I was installing.
