Just a quick warning. DON'T use the hole in the case for charging unless you have turned off the unit completely. If it's in sleep mode putting in the cable can turn it on and it will be running in a case where there is nowhere to get air for the fan.

@rezaimran98 I figured a fix on the sound. The only game I haven't been able to get to work is Allan Awake 2 and KOTOR (which seems to be a problem for a lot of pcs). Every other game I've played over 100 works good. I mainly play AAA games. When playing in handheld mode it's awkward for fighting games like the New Mortal Kombat 1, which I prefer to play on my Asus Rog Ally. Playing Palworld Helldiver's 2, and Baldur's Gate 3 was miserable from my Ally because of the small text. I do miss VRR on my Ally it's noticeable and I seem to get about 5 more frames in games on my Ally VS my GO in most games. I tried the fps mode and it was awkward, I really didn't get in to the detachable controllers either. I tried while docked and found it to be a lackluster experience. I prefer using my xbox controller when docked. I love the device and usually pick it up over my Ally. The bigger screen is really the only advantage for me over my Ally. The Ally seems to perform better is significantly cheaper and better optimized in my opnion. These devices can hang with the big boys Warhammer 40,000 Darktide punishes the frame rate on some of the higher end pcs and I've been able to get 55 to 77 fps low settings 800p. I can crank the settings up and get a playable 44 to 55 fps.

@DashFN69 I've been using it pretty much daily for 11 months. I have a $2500 gaming rog, PS5, and an Asus ROG Ally. My PS5 is pretty much collecting dust outside of some remote play from my GO. I seldom use my ALLY outside of travel, and despite having a rig that is 6 to 7 times more powerful, I enjoy laying in my comfy recliner and playing on my GO more. Long story short. My PS5, Nintendo Switch, Logitech G cloud, and Occulus Quest 2 are all collecting dust. My Ally seldom gets used. I'm on my main rig, maybe 20% of the time and the other 80% of my GO. It's a more than capable device.

I was really bummed by the fact that the ROG Ally does not have a trackpad which has made it impossible to play Grand Strategy games as well as it otherwise would on a device like the Steam Deck. I think the Legion Go offers the best of both worlds: A windows handheld that is user friendly and they actually went the extra mile by avoiding the typical gamer aesthetics.

I have some 100h of Total War: Warhammer on an XBox controller and I'm an average player, man. Trackpad is not mandatory for strategy games, you just have to get used to the controller. I wouldn't exclude ROG for that alone.

Actually, for me, it's a small computer. Because it has a standard Windows 11 OS and so powerful CPU with 16 GB DDR5 RAM. If anyone makes a video for use as a business-focused, It will be useful. Because the mobility of this guy is amazing. A lot of people maybe will not prefer the traditional ultrabook anymore.. I'm impressed. Waiting for getting one to use business-aimed.

They have definitely taken the short coming of the Rog Ally and improved on them. The FPS mode is cool. For me the controllers coming off I'll never look at doing and same with FPS mode as I use Xbox controller for docked mode and never use tabletop mode. It's definitely great to see other ideas coming out and really looking forward to seeing the next few gens. I fell if you get a Rog ally or the Go you won't be disappointed.

Specs wise, it seems the base model of the Legion is equal or slightly above the top model of the Rog Alley. With that bigger screen of the Legion Go it would be interesting to see how battery life compares. Considering Black Friday is coming up, the Ally will likely be on sale and I doubt the Legion Go would be on sale a month after release. The ally might be the better buy at that time

My Legion Go should be here in the next day or two. It /seems/ like a good middle ground between the Ally and Steam Deck in that it has a trackpad like the Deck, while still having broadly the same internals as the Rog Ally for the most part. Reviews of the Go seem to be positive too.

I've actually kept an eye on the Legion Go ever since it was announced. With the performance and the ability to link to an external GPU, I plan to use this as a replacement gaming PC. So the button layout is irrelevant to me since I'll have my own keyboard/mouse connected (as well as a massive monitor 😎)

I got a steam deck back in the summer, and doing stuff that's Xbox related is a pain. Steam has lots of games, but not having game pass downloadable games or play anywhere Xbox titles on Steam OS sucks. I think you're making the right move.

@@B_Machine Yeah was looking into the steamdeck, it feels very cozy to me? And the price is better since I don't care that much about power as long as the games i wanna play run at least on 30 fps. But I love xbox game pass way too much, got it on pc for months and I'll keep the subscription as long as the price stays the same. The fact that getting xbox game pass on steamdeck is such a pain in the ass (and it's just streaming) made me ditch it and think about a legion go. I also have a hard time playing fps games with a controller, so the FPS mode may come in handy.
