I am definitely going to snag this denim liner. It is the perfect blue. Because it doesn’t translate as blue. It looks special and different than black without being 80’s blue. And I have to say, this make up look is wonderful on you! Also, I think the liner will pair beautifully with the Makeup by Mario Moonlight pallet, which I am still obsessed over.

Yes, it looks like such a perfect blue - you described what makes it look great, perfectly - I couldn’t figure out what I was drawn to about the shade of blue, but it will look perfect on me as a black substitute liner - black liner is usually too harsh on me, but sometimes I want a cooler liner color than brown 😊

First of all, I am so grateful for the feedback and so grateful for the kind way that you delivered the message. For some weird reason, and I can’t understand it, lately, I am having focus troubles and I have changed nothing in my settings. It must be something in the way the videos are uploading as I’ve heard of two other creators having the same trouble only recently as well. So I am experimenting. All of these videos this weekend have been pre-filmed but starting next week I am actually just gonna use a different mirror that is not in the frame at all and we are gonna see if that fixes the problem. But I am absolutely aware of it and I am absolutely going to do whatever I can to fix it. So definitely let me know starting next week if you see any sort of improvement as I am always happy And willing to listen to feedback it’s super helpful. Thank you again

I understand camera settings and auto-processing across different platforms, softwares, etc. can mess up original film quality, so I appreciate your effort and time to try different setups. I bet it’s phenomenal❤️ In the gross, muggy August weather I like to wear little to no foundation and just use a light moisturizer and concealer and color corrector for my under eyes and a lip color. Thinking of you and all affected by the fires. My son and his wife live in Northern California and anytime I hear about another fire my heart can’t help but sink. My mother used to say; “ Fire is the thief that steals everything. It doesn’t care about its value”. On a happier note, I could not wait for the Lisa Eldridge review from you. The VBB eyeliners are amazingly good and this one is no exception - it looks great on you but then your eyes are so lovely that everything looks good on them. I ordered the LE pinpoint concealer in shade 4 on the first day of the launch and should have it any day now. I love my Clé de Peau stick concealer and the JR face pencil too but if this lives up to the long wear claims, it will be handy to have as long as the shade works

Love that VB pencil shade so looks like I’ll be adding that one to my collection. Reckon it would also look nice glammed up with a bit of a gold sparkle shadow topper for an evening out. Pretty sure i’d also love the Chantecaille essence. It sounds like YSL temps majeur essence I used to love years ago. It was a great skin prepper.

Thank you for this review Rebecca! I just saw this new Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer & I was intrigued. It looks fantastic! It would be great in the morning to do a quick face getting ready for work. I’m going to have to try it! I rarely wear foundation, so this is perfect! My VBB Jeans eyeliner is arriving today! I was hesitant to order it at first. Like you, I don’t love blue, but I am also a completionist! It looks amazing on you! It does have some gray tones in it, which I love. The shades of VBB SKL always surprise me. I love them all! The only ones that I don’t have are Linen (I hate white eyeliner), Navy Noir & Copper. Copper would probably look good with my complexion, dark hair & green eyes. Not sure why I’ve never purchased it… 🤷🏻‍♀️ Navy Noir looks nice, but it seems too similar to some of the other darker shades. Anyway, thanks you again for the review! I know I will love Jeans!

I have Surfside so I was going to skip this one, but I’m getting it with my next VBB order now! My Pinpoint concealer is on its way to me. It looks fantastic on you!! Regarding the VB liners, I read somewhere that you should let them dry a little before you start smudging them with the sponge or a brush. Otherwise they spread out too much and ''dissolve'' into the skin. Also I would love to know which of her eyeliners you don't think have good staying power. I just got the Bordeaux...

Bordeaux is a tough one. It can run. Yes you can let them dry a little bit but if you let them dry 30 seconds too long they are not gonna move so there is a fine line there

I have been doing spot concealing with an NYX eye pencil and the Ben Nye red concealer pencil for some time now. There are less expensive ways to do this. I recently purchased concealer and corrector pencils from K beauty brand the Saem. I’m sure the LE formula is superior, but I haven’t had much luck with her shade range.

@@kateboy-rx6jt Too soon to have an opinion but the formula is pretty stiff if going on bare skin. It needs a well moisturized base. I haven’t worn it long enough to know how it wears. And the color range is only good for fair to light skin, typical for K beauty unfortunately.

My Lisa Eldridge pencil hasn't been delivered yet but I was kind of shocked at how you used so much of the product you had to screw the pencil up to get more after just putting on a little. Then I looked at the amount of product provided (0.4 grams) compared to Jones Road pencils (2.9 grams) and Bobbi Brown sticks (3 grams). So the cost is: Lisa Eldridge $85/g; Jones Road $8.6/g; Bobbi Brown $11.7/g. Huh. I use either the JR or BB concealer (and their color corrector versions) almost every day, but the Lisa Eldridge one is going to have to be a LOT better for me to switch to it. Maybe if I were going to be really precise, the LE would be better, but I just scribble it on like you demonstrated and the other pencils work fine for that. So I am perplexed now. Thanks for the timely review! ❤

@@lisapetrison-beautyreviewsooo, I’d like to know as well - I have the jones road and it is way to dry for me - I have to sort of put down some oil first - it drags so much, but it’s good for the spots in flat areas of my face - it would be good if I had the WTF on as a base, but that product has chunky hard pieces in it and I can’t use it - I have very creamy concealers, like the BB, but they would not be waterproof and kind of blend away a little - though I’m fine with that moisturizing and easy going application. Like I have the TF cream concealer which is super nice (and super expensive), but I don’t think it sticking to my skin reliably - but, not sure I need that either - I wonder if the LE fills that space between creamy and full cover

@@vwiccy Jones Road recommends that people use their eye cream before putting on that concealer and I have found that that has worked fine for me, but they definitely are on the dry side. I agree that the BB ones seem to last less well than the JR due to their being creamier. It will be interesting to see if the LE ones work better than either - that might be worth paying a lot of extra money for them if they do. ❤

I have the privilege of living in London and went to her pop up shop yesterday withe my teenager to get colour matched for the pencils. Have had my LE pinpoint concealer a week nearly now and am loving it. I have the same skin shade/tone as you and got the 4 and 5, might get 6 for the UK summer. Correct me if I'm thinking wrong here, while I see the merit of this concealer pencil and think it's quite useful, it seems to me it takes more effort and time and putting on very light layer of a skin like foundation?

You know what, you are not wrong. It is not that it’s a time saver. It’s more of a different look. It pretty much looks like you were wearing absolutely nothing on your face. And one could argue that the right foundation would be the same but there’s literally no change in your face tone Except getting rid of any blemishes or imperfections

How close do you think the shade match has to be with the LE concealer?

This is a great question and I’m going to stick with what I normally say about concealers. I don’t actually think it matters. If it’s way too late then no matter how much you blend you’re going to see white spots and if it’s way too dark… I mean obviously but if you’re within 2 to 3 shades I honestly truly think it’s fine

It’s interesting because it is actually not less work. You’re 100% correct about that. But it’s a different finished look. It pretty much looks like you have no foundation on whatsoever but it covers up any imperfections

I haven't seen such a bad makeup video in a long time. You completely disregard people. At least learn how to focus properly on your camera. Most of the video is in focus on your mirror instead of you.

I watched the video full screen on my laptop and feel like it was totally in focus the vast majority of the time, except for maybe very short moments when the camera was catching up in terms of the autofocus.

I have actually been working on a fix for this focusing issue. It’s very new and it looks like I have found a fix for it. What baffles me is your complete and utter disregard for kindness and manners. I realize that I cannot give you a script but I do wonder if you go through life being this cruel and rude to people. I am not offended as I realize this says more about you than me but if I were you I would very much reconsider how you speak to others. And thank you to Lisa for her very unbiased factual reporting of what she sees on her end.

If you want to share helpful, constructive feedback about blurriness or focus issues in a video, that’s one thing. But please take the toxic, negative energy you’ve displayed here and go far, far away. For your information, Rebecca has been actively engaged with her YT community to address and troubleshoot the recent focus issues. She’s also doing this while personally dealing with the horrific and devastating fires that are currently sweeping across LA. To say she disregards people is laughable and absurd…she is incredibly engaged with her community, goes out of her way to help people with updates/info/comparison swatches, and brings kindness, compassion, empathy, and humor into every single one of her videos. She also fully encourages dialogue and discussion and is very open to hearing feedback or differing opinions. But none of us (Rebecca included) has time for the nastiness of people like you. Go touch grass.
