What we really need are more variations of the K3 and K5 horms in Canada

I like the sounds of the Leslie S3K and Nathan P5a Old Cast.

I have checked the website and downloaded the latest sound library, yet none of these horns are available in the template. Exactly how do I get them?

I have a ScaleTrains Dash 9, and while it has several horn options changeable with CV 163, almost none of these horns are included. How can I get these horn sounds on my locomotive? Is it something I need to use the LokProgrammer computer interface with? Thanks.
@DBRXCustomRailroadModels4 жыл бұрын
The video covers new horns released by ESU, they are not included on the locomotive out of the box.

Is this the "EMD 1ST GEN #1" pack?
@CentralJerseyRailfan3 жыл бұрын
I believe so. The S3K i hear in the 2nd gen pack is different from this one (default horn on new atlas gp38/gp40 releases)

Where on the ESU website are they located at? I don't see and new updated software for new sounds.
@DBRXCustomRailroadModels5 жыл бұрын
These are from file S0699
@BenMatchett5 жыл бұрын
Not sure what that means, I’m not well verse on the lokprogrammer
@moestrei5 жыл бұрын
@@BenMatchett The horn sounds are not on the web page or downloadable individually but part of a library which comes with the Programmer software or a particular ESU Sound Project. The sound file S0699 can be found here: projects.esu.eu/projectoverviews/18 You can actually download and run the Programmer software for free (runs without the physical Programmer connected) and listen to all sounds (incl. drive sounds): www.esu.eu/en/downloads/software/lokprogrammer/ Please use the best possible speakers.....it is a shame to ruin a $300 loco plus a $180 decoder with a $5 speaker. Best are smart phone speaker based systems with a large enclosure.

Those stock ScaleTrains speakers are absolutely god awful
