I am similar, not as strong Tho I already but caved in and bought them for the gold and credits because what I did last year a couple times is, used gold to complete battle pass. IMHO my investment did fairly well, got about 50% more gold than paying $$ in the store plus half year of prem time, 10 mil credits and all the trinkets and trash that comes in the boxes, tanks, skins, books, etc..

The tier 6 TD that has the same turret set up as the XM57 is the Excalibur (good tank not great) - I still play the GSOR-1008 we got a few years ago in the loot boxes and it doesn't preform like it did when it had that new tank smell

For all of Wargamings making shit up, the rocket boosters on some Chinese tanks is actually something they experimented with. The cost was way too high to the negligible benefits, and they never used them beyond testing.

And when they were used they put out out a 'here I am kill me' plume of smoke on the scale of a Cape Canaveral launch and yet when rockets are used in the game they have no bad effect on your camo rating. However, given the number of 'some kid drew a crayon picture of this tank' realistic tanks in the game the rockets are almost as real as Sherman's.

After reading the comments, I just realized how lucky I was, lol. From 15 boxes, got 2 of the tier 8 premiums, the XM57 and DZT-159 in the first like 6-7 boxes, in the rest I got I think 4 of the lower tier premiums. Can't remember anymore. Thought my luck was bad, but then read the comments seeing people complain they've had to purchase 50 boxes to get one guaranteed tier 8 premium and realized that I must in fact have been extremely lucky, lol.

I get boxes every year but here’s why. Before this years purchase I had 2000 gold left. I did the $249 package and now after all boxes are open I have 157k in gold. Way better deal than trying to buy 25k at a time or any other. I never play the tanks I get. I just get them and hold them till the event is over cause as I open the boxes and more of them show up that’s how you get the big boost on gold.

I bought a friend 80 boxes for Christmas. He got two premium tanks, so that "50 boxes guarantees one" is not too accurate. He also ended up with over 40k gold and several weeks of premium time. I play tiers 4-6 and refuse to play 8-10 tiers due to the toxicity of the players in those tiers (like when a teammate pushes me off a cliff so they can have a better hiding spot to snipe). Tiers 4-6 are far more fun and you don't get those stupid premiums that belong in a sci-fi game, not a semi-historical tank game.

The reason WG includes the rocket-boosting tanks is the Soviet Union and China worked on this concept post WWII during the cold war. They made many prototypes but the real versions could only go in an exact straight line. Any attempt to so much as gently turn caused the tank to flip out of control and explode as the rocket pods were right next to the engine and fuel tanks. If WG would have kept the game to actual tanks, TDs and SPGs that had entered service (even if just a few) or were modified versions that were designed by tank/artillery commanders in the field, such as the British officer who put a 17 pounder onto a captured panzer hull creating ONE anti-tank vehicle (TD) or taking the hull of a heavy Char B1 and fitting a GERMAN 105mm field gun in place of the turret (creating the leFH18B2 which you hate) but used by the Germans, not the French... those are the types that should be in the game. If a tank was only on paper or a prototype built but didn't enter service, it should not be in the game.

Hello to everyone, it is obviously that the World of tanks game would benefit from some mechanical improvements such as: focusing on releasing interesting tanks at tier VII,VI,V also so the player base can spread towards the different tiers, not that everyone its forced to play tier 8-9-10, the match making I believe from my point of view that it needs a total rebalance, I've seen many comments that +/-1 would be the best and I agree with that, but releasing enjoyable lower tier tanks wouldn't hurt the mm on +/-2 tanks. Furthermore I believe that there should be a massive buff for the old premium tanks to cope and keep with the new meta and the players could take their old tanks out to the battlefield as those tanks werre bought also, additionally I think that WG should stop focusing on releasing new premium tanks each month and focus more on the rebalance the ones we got, focus on new maps, new mm system, vision system needs a bit of tweaking as sometimes heavies disappear from 100 m range and other minor issues in this situation, also the gold rounds should have a -20% dmg to compensate for the higher pen, also i think that wg should stop using copy paste tactic to release "new" tanks such as miele, project Ion etc etc, that's just a bit of shameless.... A company with this huge resources should focus on bringing more tech there tanks , more nations, also a probability for tier XI tanks be implemented and to fight tier X tanks minimum or something in this area, there are so many possibilities to improve the game and bring new excitement for the next decade, focusing on a new "Fortnite" project CW or so i believe it's a bit sucky, as it might split the playerbase, anyway quite a long post from my side, and tankers stop being pathetic by only complaining and trash talk, give some ideas, your opinions how to improve the game or so, best regards and wishes!
