I love love when you do bag comparisons it's really helpful to see bags side by side. I have to confess that i returned my dory. i don't like the matte luxe fabrication at all. It's rubbery, too heavy, too stiff, and way different than their vegan leather bags. i have 2 VL jives and really enjoy those. I had also ordered a coupe that i haven't received but is going back when or if they ship it. I like Lug bags, just not the way the handle things so i buy from other people on the BST page, and it's sad, but they're more reliable than Lug.

I kid you not i bought a bag from a lovely lady on BST on Saturday and got it on Monday! On the other hand i ordered the Matte luxe coupe from Lug(qvc) on February 7th ...haven't heard a thing yet. It's been 15 days!

I totally get what you're saying. The MLVL is definitely a heavier fabric, and does not feel like leather in any way at all. I will say it's grown on me, but I can totally understand why you don't care for it. I'm really hoping they do the Dory Medium in the regular nylon. I'd snap those up so fast! 😅 But, different bags work for different people and that's the beauty of diversity! Do you plan to get the Dory Medium in the regular fabrication since it's now available? I have the Black Outline Floral in the Dory Medium. I like it. I also really like my Dory Medium in matte lux black and black with icepop.

Hey, Amber, loved your review! I haven’t carried my Dory Medium yet - it’s still in that snazzy bag that reminds me of the blue shoe-booties used in hospitals and at open houses. Anyhow I pulled mine out when you mentioned the strap seemed softer than usual and dayem- - it IS! Almost as if the texture is a tiny bit brushed as opposed to staight up shiny- stiff. LOL on the bag taking forever to arrive- mine showed up on Feb 28th and I ordered at 9:35pm on Feb 6th (west coast time). I do like the feel of the matte luxe, though; it’s so unnatural it’s good.😂

Qvc orders ship from lug. I don't know if you are aware of this or not. Last year lug hired a distribution center to handle the lug orders. They had to ship all lug items there to be shipped from there. It was a disaster. The company couldn't handle the amount of orders from lug customers. This is why shipping has been so slow. Lug has now hired a bigger distribution center that guarantees they can handle the lug orders. Lug is in the process of moving all lug products to this new center. Hopefully, once they have all the products tge shipping will improve. There was over 30,000 tsv orders from qvc. They are behind on shipping orders out. I did purchase a few items that day. I got the tsv in watermelon and pebble. I received the pebble Sunday. I also ordered the coupe xl in watermelon and the new wallet in pebble because watermelon sold out so fast. My watermelon tsv has finally shipped. It says it is coming from Tacoma Washington. I find that weird because all my lugs ship from Buffalo New York. They actually ship from Canada but you don't get shipping info until it hits the US. I hope my lug doesn't start coming from Washington because that is on the other side of the US from me. I am in Pennsylvania and I used to get my lug very quickly once it came across the border from Canada. I hope to have my lug items soon. Thank you for a great video.

I ordered this bag in the purple color. It’s my first bag in the luxe fabric. I just received mine today. When you received yours did you notice a weird smell from your bag. Mine had a mild chemical fishy smell. I’m just curious if you had this same thing since I’m Not familiar with this fabric. Thanks

That purple was so nice! I didn't notice any kind of smell when I opened mine, but, I have to caveat that... I haven't been able to smell very well, or very much, since I caught covid last year. Unless it's something EXTREMELY strong, I have a hard time smelling anything now. 🫤 I did ask my son to sniff the bags after you mentioned it, though, and he said there is a really faint chemically odor. But nothing fishy that he could detect. Oh ok .. I was just curious. I assume that’s it’s a common thing and the smell will go away after a while. I wanted the blue one that you have but when I went to order it was sold out already.
