Well done mate can't wait to buy some and give them a run. Have to give ya massive credits for not only releasing a awesome range of lures but for raising Tommy like you have. It shines throughout the video how much he loves it and is so good to watch. Dont teach him to much he'll be starting his own Channel in a few years 😂

Love the video mate, it’s so interesting right before you hook up on all of those fish you can see the camera angle shift up just alittle, like you know you’re about to get jammed! Well done mate never get tired of your videos!

John how exciting for you and Tommy to see him bringing his barra such a wonderful achievement on the first morning out. Then you next catch the next barra. Then next morning with your wife as she scores her barra. How fantastic to see and enjoy your both outings on the Dam. Thanks again for sharing this here please John. Just wanted to Wish you your wife and children well have a wonderful Christmas and very Happy New Year throughout 2025, Regards John Dickson

I've got a Ci4 3000 size reel I use for the majority of my fishing. It worked a treat when it had the original washers, but I changed them out with carbon washers, man the drag is so buttery smooth now you can fight big Barra or Trevally with confidence. All my barra were caught in the Innisfail area.👍👍🤙🤙

Is your Environet net an older one? I noticed you have something tied around it, as if for support because the plastic has broken? I hate buying things that are poorly designed so they break and force you to buy another. What they miss is, I won't buy the same poor quality twice. (As if we haven't paid enough for decent quality from about $70 to $130 just for a net!) I was nearly settled on getting an Environet until I saw your fix in this video... but then I went and checked their site. They sell 4x different sizes and lengths. The closest to yours seems to be all metal. So either they've downgraded it so it breaks - or they've upgraded it so it doesn't.

Hey mate. The environet is ideal and does the job really well. I added some foam to the handle to dampen the noise of it on the boat. That’s just some tape wrapping the foam on. She’s a great net and has lasted me a long time. The smaller holes help to care for the fins on fish too which I rate

Complete beginner here... Why do so many people throw large barra back? Is it because they taste awful when they're that big? I realise there's the fun of it, but some throw EVERY SINGLE ONE back and I guess I'm confused why go to so much effort and expense but not eat a single one.
@mylureboxАй бұрын
There is a slot limit of the sizes you can take for the table in different states. Salt water Barra are considered much better eating than Dam fish. Generally Dam Barra are released by most fishos although I’m pretty sure you can take 1 or 2. You’d have to check in on the regs. For that Dam 👍

@@mylurebox Ah I see - thank you. I forgot about taste until you mentioned it... I've only eaten barra once, from Colesworths, and it tasted like dirt. So I guess I know what water that came from, lol.
