Thank you Tanja. To be fair, the tie dress has a lined bodice anyway and I thought a double layer of the embroidered fabric would be too thick and uncomfortable. So I was lucky I picked that pattern or I would not have added a lining. The fabric would suit colder seasons and layering so we all win! ♥️ it was a fun project and lovely to get to know you a little better 💕♥️😍

Happy birthday Julie! Love your tie dress! My favourite pattern is the Eva dress from Tessuti and Genoa skirt Style Arc paired with Tessuti Tavi top 😊 I live in top end Australia where its always hot so i make a lot in linen which is just beautiful for hot and cool weather!

Sara’s patterns are so great. I watched her sewalongs when I first started sewing, she taught me so much! I didn’t make the top I wore with the Ele skirt. I had some John Lewis vouchers. It’s by Nobody’s Child

Thank you Sharon, I wasn’t sure about the plain black ties at first but the look has grown on me. I bought the shirt fabric at least a couple of years ago, I think it was from pound a meter or first for fabrics. I did see it in lots of places but not sure if it’s still around. I probably Google searched roses and animal print fabric as I was looking for a cotton when I came across that jersey Lycra , might be worth trying that 🤞🥰😍🩷
