I definitely agree that these products aren't meant for oily skin types. I have extremely dry skin and the face products held up well for me without breaking apart. Also the shadows didn't crease on me (I have dry eyelids also) but they did look faded by the 9 hour mark. Overall I was impressed by this line, with the exception of the primers...I didn't feel like they did anything.

I like that you gave this line a fair shot & also re-iterated that we're all individuals & what works or doesn't work for you may be the exact opposite for me. It's funny, I'm about to turn 60 next month & there's face make-up I can still out slick within 5 to 6 hours although not with the consistency that I did 20 to 30 years ago. The lines I have the most luck with? Drugstore brands. Go figure...

I bought the tinted moisturizer and when i wear it with a little setting powder it covers just as well as my foundation and lasts me all day! I am beyond impressed with it and can't wait to try more products. My store has a huge display and it had been hit hard! People are buying it up!

You might want to try the foundation and concealer without primer or setting spray. They might do better on bare skin. It could also affect how the contour and blush and highlighter performed

I watched Emily Noel‘s review on this, and went to my Dollar General in League City, Texas and purchased the nearly nude eyeshadow palette and the born to blush high tea blush color. I absolutely love them! I was shocked that they performed as well as they did. I didn’t have any creasing on my eyes with the eyeshadow palette, and although the blush didn’t wear well all day, it looked beautiful when I applied it and lasted for about six hours. I was just impressed that it is cruelty free, and the price point is amazing! I am going to buy a lipstick from that line, and probably another blush color and eyeshadow palette. I have normal skin, so I’m sure that is one of the reasons why this product works so well for me. I suggest you give them a try!

Loved the foundation. I mixed mine with the tinted moisturizer. I don't like a heavy foundation. Love the eyeshadows. Hated the concealer. Powder made my dry skin look bad. Over all, really good for mature dry skin, minus the powder and concealer.

I'm not Sabrina but hope any of these tips help you in some way. I use oils as skin care and my makeup breaks up but what I have found to help hold my make up longer, but mostly do this routine when I'm going out, or days I want to put a bit more effort: 1. Blot the skin after applying skin care and prior to applying any primer or foundation, If you prefer just blot the most oily areas. 2. If you are a primer user Becca Mattyifying primer or Make Up Forever primer Step 1 Mattifying Primer are the best I have tried drugstore or high-end. 3. I don't use concealer but I heard applying concealer to the problem area helps like the nose to make the nose make up last longer. 4. Set the face with powder using a damp sponge first pressing in the powder onto the skin, then lightly dusting/patting setting powder again with a puff or a fluffy powder brush (Cody Airspun is a great powder comes with a Puff, but has a heavy scent to it tho) 5. The right foundation makes a world of difference, the new Soap & Glory Foundation (Kick•A**) has been the best foundation I have found to hold well and Zabrena absolutely loves it, it's one of her top foundations. Other than that cream foundation or a non moisturizing stick foundation will work better at least on my skin. Liquid foundation work better in a Matte or Demi Matte formula. Setting spray helps too I have found Urban Decay All Nighter and Nyx Matte Setting Spray to be the best out there. I think Flower Beauty and Hard Candy may have good ones too I've only heard but haven't tried myself.

The packaging is so high end feeling.I live in a rural area and have a Dollar General near my house. I tried the foundation and it just didn't hold up compared to my Elf and CYO foundations.(I didn't have a problem returning it). At this point I have the same blush you purchased and I love it. I never wear my makeup for longer than 5 hours, so it worked great for me. I want to try the lipstick in Morocan spice next😊 I also heard the company that makes Flower Beauty makes this line as well~

I ran out and bought a few things from this line after watching EmilyNoel. I was pretty impressed. The foundation isn’t too bad. The lightest shade is still a bit dark for me, but I can make it work and it mixes good. It sat nice on the skin and lasted 8 hours on me. I have oily skin in the t zone and found that my fenty primer helped. I got the eyeshadow with the purple, and it’s not too bad. The shades are a bit muddy in this one, but blended nice. They didn’t wear as well on me. They faded by the end of the day. The brow pencil isn’t bad, just a little too soft and rubs off easily. The color is a little off on me, but workable. I got two lip sticks and they applied really nice. Very pretty colors. Got the sponge too, since I squeezed in store and it was soft! It’s a nice sponge! I liked the packaging. I want to try a few more things. I want to try a few more things.

I picked up the blur powder to set my dry undereyes with a brush and it worked well for me. Blurred some fine lines and didn’t make me crepe looking. I also got the bronzer/blush/highlight trio palette and liked it. The highlight was iffy for me but the other 2 held up on my combo skin (normal cheeks, oily tzone). I don’t know how much more I would get but the 2 products I did get I was happy with. Thanks for the great review!

We don't have 'Dollar' General stores here in the U.K per se, although our Superdrug which is in every High Street does some awfully good and inexpensive ranges. With advancing age and my always-been-hooded eyes, complicated powder shadow looks just don’t work for me anymore, and I’d had to just stop using eyeshadow. I bought the darkest shade in the concealer, and it was a great match; I probably could even go up a shade for a brighter under-eye. My biggest complaint was the applicator -- the wand is a little small and kinda stiff, but the coverage was exactly what I wanted. I plan to go back and grab some more products from this line ASAP!

I saw this in my local DG and was impressed with the display too. It looked tidy and everything was in order. My issue with trying it is they have no returns on opened makeup. I'm on a fairly tight budget and tend to do most of my experimenting at places that have a good return policy even if opened. Walgreens, CVS, Target, etc. I would totally be willing to give this line a chance if i could afford to gamble with the price.

after adding a few other items from this collection I think that maybe this is more geared to a normal to dry complexion. I purchased a darker shade of the foundation to add to my Maybelline Super Stay for when I have a tanner on. I purchased the primer, the sponge and an eyeliner in a burgundy color. So far this is working well for me. My complexion is normal to dry and I am 62 years old. The packaging on the foundation puts the Maybelline Super Stay packaging to shame I have to say. And the Super Stay is $11.99

actually, considering your oily skin and the low cost of the items, i don't think these products did too bad! i've had almay and covergirl eye pallets not do near as well. i think these are acceptable low cost for budget minders and those just starting into make up = just based on your results. i have to wait until pay day to buy any of them myself.

i just realized i’ve never been disappointed by a dollar general product,,,,, like when i was 13 i only got my makeup from there and the dollar tree and like.... i rocked that shit and i still have holy grails from the dollar tree/general 😌
