She always mentions to use her links but that would be easier if she included her shades! Many times I’m not sure of my color and go back and forth so I end up getting the product from Sephora or another retailer. If I knew her color as a reference guide it’s much quicker for me to decide my color therefore can quickly buy from her link. Ok vent over 😂

I am 65 and do prefer full coverage foundations that lean a bit matte. Current faves include NARS Matte, KVD both balm and serum, and the Juvia’s place I am magic both radiant and matte foundations. Do you think I would like either the Guerlain or Valentino? I have very dry skin, and my Sephora does not carry these foundations in store to try.

You are so so lucky in the US to be able to return products after you have opened them (and even used them!) because you don’t like something about them or have the wrong shade! We can only return items here if we have a bad reaction (and can prove it) or, in some rare cases, especially nowadays, if the packaging is totally intact and we have the receipt (but they still can be funny and refuse that with skincare and makeup items). It makes shopping, especially online, a bit of a minefield. Buying colour makeup and foundations / concealers is especially fraught with danger! And perfumes, equally difficult (although some places provide a little sample to try first before you open it, but then you still have to pay to send everything back if you don’t like it!). I wish we had your system, although it must provide so much wastage and I bet some people do take the piss a bit and just buy something to use over the weekend with the intention of always returning it! Do they reuse returns as samples usually?

I really really want to get my little hands on that smiley palette but I can’t find it in the UK yet (hoping that it will come and have messaged their website!). If we don’t get it, I’ll have to maybe try to order from your link, as I think Ulta does deliver to the UK (although the last time I made a basket, most of it wouldn’t ship to us)… I used to love two yellow shades in the Colourpop super shock shadows (a matte and a metallic), so there is also the option of just trying to order those again but no idea if they still do them as they got rid of so many 😢 when they started concentrating on powder eyeshadows instead …..which was such a shame, as they were so so unique back in the day (I was an early adopter with the SS range, ordering to a shipping company specifically to get them, long before they delivered ww).

Doesn’t the lancome foundation smell bad? Cause I tried the older version and it had a strong smell I couldn’t get over. Also it oxidized a lot.

Definitely want to try the PML bronzer, I'll probably want till they go on sale and pick up the eyeshadow quad aswell. I've wanted to try the Morphe and Ariel brushes for a long time because so many people love them but on the UK site they never go on sale but surely they will at some point so I'm laying in wait 😂 I've got to try the Givenchy powder, so many people rave about it. The Guerlain terracotta la teint foundation is gorgeous i love it and its such a lovely experience buying from the website, the box it came in was absolutely beautiful, i got a mini sample of the foundation in another shade and 5 mini perfume samples, I'd definitely buy from the site again 😊

Valentino is one my favorite foundation that I finished the. Whole thing no lie yes is very hydrating for spring and transition summer to fall love the spf since where sun can be kinda harsh even though is spring now summer weather wish they had spf in the concealer for just no makeup days .

The givenchy one has shimmer in it, so if you’re ok with that, go for it because it has a better formula and is less cakey and more finely milled. If you want to try the givenchy but don’t want shimmer, so for the other shades (that aren’t pink), like shade 2

❤Great video. I wish I loved that Givenchy powder as much as you did. But for the price it just wasn't that much better than my Laura Mercier Rose. I returned it. I really can't use powder as much, I think because I'm older but it was okay. It didn't blur for me like it blurred for you but I must have some giant pores or something. I do think you're gonna love the Valentino foundation when you swap out the color. I am really liking it and the concealer to go with it. The Givenchy concealer was just too thick for my taste, even though yes, I like that it covers well, but too goopy, too much creasing. Also, you didn't find the Guerlein foundation smelled weird? I liked it but returned it because the smell was offputting to me. I feel bad I didn't get the lighter shade of Pat bronzer and I just got the nude honey and the universal warmer one with the tiny glitter in it... but it's still a keeper. You outdid yourself on this video. Really wonderful job. I'm wondering if you got the new Adept multichrome palette. I can't wait until mine is in. Oh and I'm with you on that Pat Mcgrath quad, it IS all that and a bag of chips. So versatile, right? Hugs.

Im nervous about trying the Lancome Teint Idol again. I have the old formula in my drawer and NEVER reach for it. That foundation wore terribly on me, it was dry, cracked, pathcy. One of the worst foundations Ive ever tried. Its the same thing that stopped me from trying the Lancome with the white cap. Anyone have a similar experience, and have better luck with the newer ones?

I want to warn others that the givenchy concealer has very obvious glitter/shimmer in it and leaves me with shimmery undereyes….also I’ve heard that the givenchy powder in shade 3 has shimmer, but shade 4 does not (I own it and confirm it doesn’t)
