Top speed is really fun to chase . I’ve had a tough time with it due to finding an area that’s not congested, smooth enough pavement , and still enough room to get a good run in. Good luck with the new gearing , looking forward to it

I ran the 26/46 to 65MPH and the 25/50 to 60MPH. I still wanna know how Traxxas hit 70 considering they dont even make an M1 27T and the ONLY 44T spur they make is an M1.

Can't be done on the stock electronics. Would need a 2 mile airstrip to get to 100mph. Look out! Here comes the Mamba XLX2 and 1717 1650kv or a 1721 2400kv motor. 😅

I've seen you have less problems with the slash then you had with the Mojave......body comes off easier......👍

Should have got a Mojave 6s. They are still way faster, turn better, jump way better and are still tougher than the slash 6s. My.buddy has a slash 6s and we track race it against my mojaves on weekends.

I don't think it's gonna hit 70 even with a 44t spur. I might be wrong. It almost sounds like it's under powered. Can't wait to see.

I’m a little shocked it only gained 2mph. The wind might’ve hurt some plus I think that body is gonna need some more ventilation but. Looking forward to the next attempt.

You should try without the body because I saw somebody get 68 speed or if you want to be safe, run it with the roll cage instead of the body i'm telling you you'll get more speed but nobody's listening awesome video and stay safe

I honestly believe traxxas lies on the box, I have been 80mph on a vxl 4x4 rustler but I had to put grp’s for stability and lower the rc drastically. It was way over geared beyond what the box stated as well on pinion and spur.

Not just Traxxas and not necessarily lies. Sometimes it's skill, calibration, setup, conditions and it depends on the rc. If you want true lies though, look at some of the 1/5 scale claims on certain boxes.

Fact is, slash bodies just aren’t aerodynamic. Especially with that wind I’m not too surprised. Body off or a different more aerodynamic body would likely gain you a few mph

With 27t pinion and 44t spur I dont see that system lasting long. I really feel it should be a 8s system.

The rc is light weight this system been in heavier rc cars but with that said this body has a ton of restrictions

Why not go to a parking lot outa school? Even with the spec’d tooth gearing it’ll only do 68. You’ll need to leave the cage on but remove the body to actually hit 70mph. The body sucks and eats speed
