When I was growing up we raised Black Angus cattle. They ate grass in the summer and hay in the winter. Who knew that was the best beef in world for our health? My grandpa was pretty smart.

Thank you Thomas! As a person with clinical depression I found that one of the things that make it hard for me to stick to healthy eating is not having an exact meal plan that I can go and make weekly grocery runs for. The fact that you laid out this meal plan in such a detailed way really helps to organize and make cooking and eating so much easier, especially when the meals are not as "elaborate" as most meal plans and based on simple ingredients that require minimal prep and cooking.

I started this with you guys on Monday and I am feeling like a 180° turn around. My knee has been so bad lately that I thought I needed knee replacement, but I swear if I am not walking better! I lost 50 lbs last keto challenge you did and have not gained it back but still need to keep losing. Amazing how I can't get it through my head that what I am looking at on my plate is working in my body on a cellular level! You are teaching me that and I can't thank you enough! I will be entering these as meals in my Carb Manager app so I can adjust intake of calories, protein, etc. I am 5’3” and weigh 132 lbs. trying to add muscle and lose fat (currently at 39%). Obviously the amounts listed in the eating plan as-is would exceed my calorie goals for the day. It look much like the plan I’d been working on since my Dexa scan and RMR. Thanks for helping me complete it. 😊

Video Suggestion: Foods that people may be able to eat on Keto that will surprise them. For example, after eating Keto for 7 years, some article I found said that eating popcorn may not spike insulin levels. I tried it and I now can eat a big bowl of buttered popcorn knowing I will not gain weight, but no artificial butter, I use ghee. I would love to know if there are any other "fun" foods out there that maybe like this for some people. If this topic has been done already can someone please point me toward it?

Day 1: Woke up at 6am, did 15 minutes of Yoga, drank that god awful ACV + Water + Lemon and then hit the gym. 45 minutes later came home and cooked breakfast. Way more food than I usually eat but different kinds. I usually do eggs and toast with butter and jelly but this morning was egg/avocado/salmon and a bowl of blueberries, pecans and raspberries. Lunch also seemed like a massive amount of food. 6oz of grilled chicken sauteed in olive oil with peppers, onions and garlic along with a bowl of sliced tomato, avocado, Italian seasoning, pepper, olive oil and a dash of balsamic. So far, so good. I definitely feel more... awake? No brain fog. Also surprisingly, no coffee. How has everyone else been doing on day 1?

I had a heart attack in 2016... I weight 355 pounds and taking a LOT of medications every day. I started the Keto diet (against the advice of my doctor who said I would DESTROY my health). My doctor had me return every 60 days for full lab workups so (he thought) he could prove I was not doing the right thing. After 2.5 years I had lost 155 lbs and gradually had been taken off ALL my medications. But... over the last few years I've put back on about 30 degrees and have been having a real tough time getting serious about getting things back on track.

It's strange that you made a skipped breakfast since it is not what is mostly recommended, however since January I am skipping breakfast because it's convenient and it works wonders with me, I drink a lot in the morning, and try to do whatever exercise fasted (ideally after a small naked coffee). So far I lost 11kg and it's mostly fat if the thing is right. I'm amazed by the protein quantity in your plan. I feel very full each of my 2 meals and it is mostly nuts eggs cheese and salads with mushrooms, alfalfa sprouts. Good tomato and avocado are hard to find. The most benefit is mental, clarity, mood stability, core happiness. I feel bouncy too. So my own plan is 2 meals a day (close together 5 hours in between) and I skip a day in the week where I fast ( this gives in general one 42 hours fast ) and some weeks I don't do it. This was the only way to break the plateau I hit when I had lost 7 kg.

What can I use instead of olive oil? My taste buds refuse. I just started keto 3 days ago and I'm working on the foods (cheese is giving me tinnitus in my ears) and bowel movements are non existent. I'll continue to work on eating what my body can handle but if not this diet seems like another option. And I could modify it to keto or just go as is. I was moderate carbs before. You can put half a packet of your electrolyte drink mix into your greek yogurt. It's really good. I've been taking ALA for 15 years and my resistance to it is high. NOTHING worked for me besides carnivore diet. I fasted for two years at least 18 hours and 48 hours once a week. I did OMAD. I gave up on processed food, flour, sugar. I went very very low carb. Nothing. On carnivore and some fasting in three months I lost 9 kilos. I am a 42 years old female, if this matters.

That's awesome I still haven't done it but I'm so interested in trying it. I do eat carnivore meals a lot but I'm not 100% animal based yet.

I'm so interested in trying it for 3 months to see how it goes with me. Just need to budget correctly because it is definitely a bit more expensive than I'm used to. I think its worth it though.

@@onepunchflan3071 doesn’t have to be expensive. If you’re in a budget just eat ground beef 80 20 or 73 27 some salt and water cheapest diet I’ve ever done imo.

Interesting content, thanks, but this feels to me like a restrictive diet. What 200+ pound guy eats 1/2 an avocado at a time? Or 4 ounces of meat at a time? This seems like a good plan for restricting calories, rather aggressively for bigger people, or for a smaller woman trying to eat 1200 to 1600 calories. As I'm typing this, I realize I completely misunderstood... ********this is a FAST!********* Duh. That said, it looks appealing. So maybe pump the idea that this is an awesome alternative to an extended fast every quarter, or a nice break from 5/2 for a while. A month seems a little challenging, however, at least in the context of those other longer fasting approaches.
