@@G6304 I agree that it looks great. The only problem I have with it is that this new model is way heavier than the previous one (350 kg more, 2 tons total) and just too heavy to be a sports car. The old one wasn't just a GT car but also a 911 competitor on the race track. So sadly, AMG has left the track. 😢

I really wasn’t a fan of them leaving the old platform (sitting on the rear axle format) I mean it was the prior model & the Ferrari Superfast as the only dinosaurs left but it’s all better with the four-matic, practicality and it now looks like it didn’t skip leg day ..as the back now looks as muscular as the front!!💯

​@@magistrate7009That's not the point. The point is maximum performance. You can put it into RWD but you still have to deal with the extra weight of the AWD system. There is a big reason why two of the fastest cars around the nurburgring (GT black series and Porsche gt2rs) are RWD.

Have a Jaguar F type…. Am thinking about a new car and lean to the 992…..this thing looks nice, but seems way to sterile/complex. And heavy. My gosh, 1970kg curb weight is super heavy. I don’t care what people say, that is really disappointing…at first I figured it had to have a battery and be a hybrid but no….it is just about 400kg overweight. As such, nice car but for that much money a used Ferrari makes more sense or McLaren’s or a new 992. I wanted to like it a lot but just the weight for me (and for many) will be a full stop codon. Definitely 911 in the back, very derivative, and AMG snout in the front….it will sell because the world needs more than just the 911, but I’d see it more like a SL+ than a sports car. Sad really….I wanted so much to get one and the thing is a shiny, hi tech pig. It makes my F type look light…and that is saying something. The exhaust note in the video sounds horrendous. That too is shocking.

This is the most beautiful crappy car i have ever seen. Mercedes/AMG have a lot high horsepower muscle cars. Then they decided to build an awesome, real sportscar and then destroyed it by turning it into a big, 4WD two ton elephant. It is a shame they made the AMG GT a shitbox because this looks gorgeous.

The sportier variations that will come out will probably be 300-400 lbs lighter. This car will be a sub 3.0 second car. But for the base, practical version… it makes sense to have this weight

It's all fun and games until you learn that this car weighs 2 freaking tons (yes!) which is way heavier than its predecessor (350 kg more) and just way too heavy to be a sports car anymore. It looks like a sports car, it sounds like a sports car, but it isn't one. It's very sad what Mercedes AMG did here. They've ruined a car that not only looked great but also performed amazingly on the race track and was a real Porsche 911 competitor.

jop....unfortunetly blend what look awry in this "final" this face.....this grill....even kids will do it better mercedes is very down inside as it looks nothing wrong to look similar as a porsche, but 1:1 and then faildesign in the front.....it dont match any to the back this grill would give me a big fail in design schooling class 1 we learned that such design is a no go.....and MERCEDES! just do it?!?! and shows how it looks bad for real and want to sell it for 200 000....that hurts my mind everyone would do a better finish, when looking from the side front my draws the line how it would look much better finish
