I played this build only for 2 days, so u can expect better content for Part 2 when I get some practice with it! (I just realized, my chest and musket are 600gs in all the clips )

That looks fun not gonna lie. I used to enjoy medium trapper musket with rapier back in the days when the game started, got heavy chest with resil+powder, decent resil was hard to get lol

Indeed, is probably the funniest build I ever played. And the outplay potential is HUGE. Good thing about off-meta builds is that nowadays u can find really cheap gigaBiS gear. And the reaction of the people to see me in the middle of clumps tanking 7 people with my musket is priceless ngl 🤣

Thank u! And yeah, agree 100%, Spear in general it's just too strong and in medium, even worst. I can already smell the nerf (completely deserved it).

@@ThaCousinnah cyclone is good, but the whole spear is just well balanced. Each ability has a use in a specific scenario and with each ability now. AGS needs to do this for every weapon. GA has a use for its other abilities outside of just the standard bruiser set up. Hammer is also on the same level. You build it differently for a different playstyle. Greatsword is also on par now with the recent damage nerfs. Bow, SnS, Hatchet (either you go throwing or berserk). Musket needs some counters for its playstyle now, but the way you’re playing it here that counter is bows. FS DoTs need tweeking. And BB needs damage tweeking. IG is in a solid spot now. Though windchill is pretty strong now, but not enough people use it to be annoying.

⁠@@nickhohl3468I’m gonna ignore all the comments except musket cause its the only thing I play. But why does musket need a counter right now? I feel like it’s the worst weapon in the game now that the only thing it was good at is gone now (sniping). I don’t really know like what you mean when you say counter, like what is the musket doing that’s hard to deal with? If you mean the life stealing traps that’s FOR SURE the most broken ability in the game, and I’ve thought so since day 1 but no one ever seemed to care cause traps have always been seen as bad, so they didn’t really enter the light as much as I think they should have. But the musket sucks so hard right now that traps are the only thing saving it, so I mean if you take that away you gotta buff either the damage it does or give the musket better fluidity in close range fights cause it’s only used close range now

any way to have a built like call of duty sniper/shotgun (musket/blunderbuss) ? and is musket viable in pve? I would like to try it for my returning season next month ^^'. would love to play musket/blunder but seems like there is no way regarding to what's on YTB

At the moment idk if someone is playing bb/musket, but is viable. I'll give it a try, probably, powder burn (with perk on musket), stopping power, and maybe traps (with perk in armor) or sticky bomb. And for BB, Net 100%, shrapnel and last ability I'm not sure if splitting grenade or blast shot to have a knock down in AoE... (I like the blast shot idea :P) Right now I'm working in a GA/VG, I'll try to finish with the clips of that build today and give it a try to bb/musket :D

@@ThaCousin yeah I have been theorycrafting similar builds before S2 cyclone buff and I rage quit on PTR after under same conditions I had different values... Let me know if you ever try to make a formula for healing scaling of cyclone though,. I would be interested. Oh and for your VG plans - remember rupture has 1s cd so only 1 instance of dmg every 1s will get healing sadly.

A few times in Arena with a total of 147% leech+divine I get like 0 healing, I thought the arena disease was breaking it but maybe it's something else, will try to find answers, but I can't promise results haha Numbers in nw can be... Free souls not bounded at math rules ?) 😂 And about vg u right. For the kind of builds I'm making, there are just better options, like voidblade, tether, scream. Trap-Scream-trap😅

@@ThaCousin oh yeah, blade+scream+tether with tether refresh passive makes scream spam insane. I just dislike blade being cast because it diminishes secondary weapon usage and that is not my jam. I wish it would be a toggle (kinda like flamethrower is)

mmmm good question. I think so, more dmg and mobility but less tanky. I Should work fine, and can be fun for sure. I think if I would run it in light I would pick a more aggressive musket, not the RE named one. Like Powder/attu or chain/ + something, enchanted or something like that. I'll give it a try in light and try to give u a better answer :D

I seen off meta comment this is the new shit because spear and FS got buffed and then a second time slight changes when all the other weapons got nerfed twice. I did, just to full hp with flurry on Rapier, 9/10k leech haha I'll try to make some extra clips with that combo and make at least a short video 😋 I also tried trap with the leech perk of greatsword, another nasty leech combo there.

Tbh I prefer duels with pots, and would be cool have infinite pots on duels (no cost), it's no doubt a more realistic training/fight. And I also don't like the "duel no pots build", like stack shirk heals, 10 DoT's etc. Usually I think my builds for Arena or OPR.

​@@Darkness2Maxrocko Super fun and strong build too 🥶 Something that I always recommend and that I also always do, it's start dueling, with every new build/weapon, and after some practice, I try it in OPR or Arena. Especially with weird builds, that have new playstyles, that require combos or force specific situations, new keybinds, etc. Usually I get destroyed and I die in the most humiliating ways in a row several times before start to obliterate them, but even dying every time I try to keep the focus in learning rather than in winning, that way u can test the limits, strengths, skill interactions, and at the end, enjoying the learning process which can be challenging/tough at the beginning 💪

Yep, I'm pretty sure that they'll nerf this build in one or another way. Spear nerf is around the corner and maybe they change trap leech if more people start to use it. But we will see what AGS decide to do and I'll try to keep the build alive or reborn it in a different version in the worst case. I'm already experimenting with other similar variations of this build in case the upcoming nerf hit too hard 😅

Yep, actually if u think about it, we have spear builds with every other weapon, even lifestaff. I think it's the only weapon that actually works with any other weapon in the game, because as u said, any extra benefit u can get for any other weapon it's enough to make a spear build perform very well. And in particular, Musket provides almost all u need to make Spear even more powerful. U get RANGE, speed, nasty slows, insane sustain/leech, roots, more rend, like wtf AGS haha

Yeah I have a Throwing hatchet build ready, I was playing it in Season1, 3k dmg in 1 throw :D I'll make a video about it, I'm not sure when, but I'll definitely do it. I already have several clips. super fun build too. (It's challenging to hit the hatchets, it's not easy to shoot, but it's very satisfying along with the rest of the combo)
