2 questions. Have u ever had to create a mold for a product you have deferentiated? If so how much did you pay for it? Secondly would you say 8k is enough to get started on amazon?

Hey Crude, I personally have not but I do know several sellers who have personally. For a smaller item it can cost several thousand to even tens of thousands. You would need to contact suppliers and ask for your specific product because there’s no way you will know how much it will be otherwise. And yes $8K is plenty to launch your very first product on Amazon (probably may need more if you plan on using a mold, but once again you would need to determine the price of that mold 1st).
