I own a Hector 2020 it is amazing, good looking and fantastic performer. After minor updates in 2021 now MG has taken things to a next step in looks, interior and giving hector Level 2 ADAS which is super cool. Now the rival game with Xuv 700 and safari is going to get strong... Proud to own a Hector

This new design and all upgraded tech is awesome. Surely makes MG Hector stand out of the crowd - it’s build quality is top notch, definitely better than Korean counterparts who sell substandard products in India for the same car that they sell in Europe. Not MG. It’s a good thing MG’s designs are still made in Birmingham UK and production in India and Thailand. SAIC, the parent company has tie ups with Volkswagen AG, so they use same parts. Good job MG!

I have also seen the Car Yesterday, I definitely feel that Car is Super Premium compared to XUV 700 which is around 2.5 Lakhs costly in Petrol Manual and around 3 Lakhs costly if you compare with Petrol Automatic & you also get ventilated seats🏔, auto dimming mirror, Walkaway lock, Ambient Lighting and one touch tailgate close and Infinity Speakers which are way better then Sony 12 Speakers setup, Only the downside is that it has the same Petrol engine which is i feel is little bit of Compromise & with this compromise you are getting the same mileage as XUV 700, who is only the competitor in this segment if you compare the Petrol Engines, but it will definitely eat the Market share of XUV700.

Somehow its a new FAD to have white lights. But yellow lights are always better. Coz they dont blind the driver coming from the opposite direction incase you are travelling on a single road without divider.

Refrain from consulting with @motoroctane to take any advice on buying a new car. I was waiting for the Hector facelift, but when I consulted with Moiz from the Motoroctane team, I was told to go ahead and purchase the current model, and I should not wait for the facelift as MG would sell both the models side by side and the facelift will cost me 28-30 lakhs on-road. He sounded confident; considering my budget, which was 25 lakhs, I trusted them and booked the top model MG Hector 2021 Sharp Diesel and got the delivery in just 12 days. But just after 15 days found out that this wasn’t the case, and MG had discontinued the old model. My car is only a month old, but it’s an older model. On top of that, MG is giving a discount of 35K on the older models. On the bright side, I saved close to 100K, but I would have paid that amount over the new features and bold front grill design.

Hey Sagar There is some miscommunication. MG will continue with both the Hectors. The discount is on the BS 6 Phase 1 option only - not for the product. So the future line up will be Hector regular and the new Hector on the high end trim that will be much higher in pricing. All car brands who have extra stock will look at clearing off their extra BS 6 Phase 1. And this will depend from dealer to dealer only. BS6 Phase 2 will start from April.

These days more emphasis is given on tech which won't be used much later on. I have driven the 140 bhp model and it does lack the power and feel while driving. The steering was super light which was not a comforting thing at all while navigating this big car. Engine, suspension and build are the things everyone would love after initial 1-3 months of tech showoff and this is what is lacking in a lot 20-30 lac cars these days. In this way kudos to Indian car makers like Tata and Mahindra to give punchier engines and superb build quality.

Automatic turn indicator is waste as turn indicator is activated 15-25 mtr before turn. Sudden turn indicator is a safety issue. There is lots of minor turn in city driving conditions. They should have provided automatic corner light, which is useful in sharp turn and hilly road.

If we stick to this feature then the indicator will only be given when the steering is actually turned to take a turn which is very late indication for the other cars. Indicator should be given well before taking a turn so that the car near you knows that you are about to change direction. Please think before you speak

Enjoy watching you videos. A request, can you all run a campaign for the use of High Beam and Low Beam. Everyone is driving on high Beam, making very difficult for vehicles coming from opposite side. Unfortunately drivers of higher end vehicles, which have strong LED lights are also ignorant about how to use High Beam and Low Beam. The funny part is that if you flash your lights to request to lower the Beam, they flash back at you and keep the light on High Beam. Please consider. Thanks & Regards.
