Very neat! And so much different than the 4K+ gallon predominantly quad axles we run here in WI. Always neat to see how other areas of this land move stuff.
@snakerstran91013 ай бұрын
That was my first thought as well. Usually there are more axles the better for soft yards and road restrictions.

Back in the day I worked for a small ice cream company. One day they brought cream and the driver forgot to open the vent and I couldn’t believe how the small pump we were using crushed the tank on the tanker.
@vnthomas163 ай бұрын
Yup, you gotta be careful. It doesn’t take much!

That happens more than you can imagine. Worked for Polar Tank Trailer and they showed up from time to time. Sometimes the rear axle was actually raised off the ground!

Add some Aluminum wheels on the new tanker! I wonder how it'll look hooked up to 12
@vnthomas16Ай бұрын
I actually specifically ordered it with steel wheels because I like the look ( except on steer axles). I think it would look sharp behind 12, but my goal is to pair 12 with the old tanker and maybe take it to a truck show.

Will you haul only the milk produced on your farm with this tanker or do you haul milk from other farms?
@toma51533 ай бұрын
Yes, I'm curious as well. I wanted to know a bit about the business case for this. Will you purchase milk from other dairy farmers and process it at your facility. Maybe you discussed this in another video. Nice looking tanker.
@vnthomas163 ай бұрын
We still make cheese here on the farm. We do ship some milk from time to time, but most of my hauling is from other dairy farms to a local creamery in town.
@david196593 ай бұрын
I’m new here who do you haul milk for?

Mostly Columbia Community Creamery, but I’ve hauled for other creameries too.

question: your cows fill your tanker?

Not much lately unfortunately… but look forward to getting back at it. With the arrival of the new tanker, I plan to pair the old one with 12. I imagine it would be a pretty cool setup at a truck show!

Sometimes the creamery in Chewelah has volunteer opportunities. You could email them and see if they have anything going on or if not, be added to the volunteer list. Thanks!
