Some UV resin recipes seem to forget that the resin will only be cured where the UV light can reach it. I would’ve made that ramen in more stages, curing as I went, so each layer got adequate light.

For sure . I do gel nails at home and any gel polish that is darker in color or too thick will not cure at all .. if thr light cannot touch it then it will not cure

The chocolate cake was my favorite. I really liked that they actually made it two layers. I think some of the ingredients were better detailed but the little packagings weren't as detailed. Not bad for a first attempt into the mini make it universe.

The packaging looks like real meal kit packaging. If you open it carefully you can still use it to make "meal kits" for display in a dollhouse or grocery diorama. They should sell the little hat uv lights separately cuz you don't need one with every kit. These look like fun.

Oh no! I can see mixing the miniverse and these to make my own recipes. I need those roasted potatoes for my turkey! The details on these seem pretty good and I like how easy the resin pours and they seem to give you enough. The packages look more 'grown-up'. I do like the containers in this brand. At least on the star sprinkles they did put a label to make it look like there is still some in it. Good for using in doll kitchens. The whipped cream is really neat!

The cake was my favorite of course. I love the way the “whipped cream” came in a working can like that. I give them a little break as this is mini brands first go at this. The resin seems to come out easily, big plus. The details on the food look really nice as well.

That really surprised me too, maybe they could have sold the UV light on the side and allowed the batteries to be replaceable that way if you buy several capsules you don't have so many uv lights.

If Mini Brands was first on the make it mini concept we'd be more critical of Miniverse. The only thing I'd say Mini Brands has over Miniverse here is the resin being easier to pour. The rest is just plain copying and I'd guess they are way more expensive given the addition of the UV light and more resin. I agree with you that having to hold a miniature UV light for 10 minutes is too much for anyone and didn't need to be included in each kit. (looked up the price and they are the same 9.99 as Miniverse. Surprising.

I don't like how the resin is packaged, or that the ramen and onions come in clumps, but the rest of the ingredients are super cute! Love the baked potatoes and the sliced apricots the most. The UV light feels wasteful, especially because it doesn't work particularly well. But overall I do like the way these turned out, I'll definitely be trying them out. I like the ideas but i still think miniverse does it better. I like the idea of the added UV light but it falls flat and doesnt work well, i agree with another comment about having the uv light seprate (so it can be better quality) like actual resin uv lamps. Again i like the ideas here but i hope its done better in the future 😭

With Miniverse I’m wanting savory and nut the desserts as there are too many of those. Of the ones you did here, the desserts were better than the savory dishes, in my opinion. I like Zurus resin colors better. That tomato reduction was really dark and opaque, not like miniverse’s translucent red. There were some things done better and some things done worse. A good first try. But lose the chefs hats.

I think you were thinking of maraschino cherries. Thank you for showing this. So far I have only seen promotion pictures. You're the first one I've seen actually open anything. I still call Miniverse better. Mini brands is notorious for duplicates. I've always liked that miniverse just puts one of each thing in a box, and it only has duplicates if the box holds more than there is in the collection. I saw someone open a box of mini brands and almost the entire box was the same one. It was crazy, and such a waste. I "might" get these, only because some of the ingredients are different. I liked the tomato reduction, and the whipped cream. I didn't like the ramen and onions just being a blob that you can't move around to your own liking. I don't like that they are very skimpy on ingredients, but did like the jar for the sprinkles and the can for the apricots. I love that I have extras with miniverse so I can create my own things too. The little UV hat just seems like a waste since it's a throw away. I would like to have one, just to display, but not in every single capsule. I don't know.. I think mixing the two together, instead of competing with each other might be a better way to go.. 😅 I have a feeling my miniverse collection might have just a little mix of mini brands here and there. Oh, and I loved the plate the chocolate cake came with. (sorry for the long opinion post.. hehe)

I think the Mini Brands did better with the food miniatures, they look more realistic than the Miniverse’s. Even the resins look more like sauces and broths. On the other hand, Miniverse has a better overall presentation and individual packaging, making them more fun to DIY. But that’s just me 😁

Only thing i like is the half cherries the star sprinkles and the foam sillicon and that you get cans but not that you dont have spare ingridents to keep in the packaging so you have stuff for the pantry/fridge.

I like it but that sprinkles jar looked emmmptyyy. Product baggies can be carefully cut on the top, then stuffed up and sealed for an extra item for a dolly kitchen….that way you are getting more for the money. I like that the Make It Mini gives you plenty of product so you have leftover for other projects, that is pretty awesome and I hope they never change that. The small UV light is cool, but it could be seen as a waste of material, because it has a very short working time and then what? Nice decor, but I would trade the idea of the UV light for more product. Instead of having to hold the UV light you could make a little stand out of wire, nothing fancy but it helps. I like how realistic everything looks and I think it’s awesome that they are dipping their toes into making these type of products. Hopefully more companies come up with similar ideas so we can compare. A neat approach would be a product that uses the kind of material they used for the chocolate cake instead of resin. It would be a similar waiting time anyways. ❤

I’ve used white shower caulking from the hardware store in piping bags with tips when I did decoden many years ago? It’s very inexpensive and super fun. Just make sure to get the white, not the clear. These seem ok, but they could’ve applied money for better ingredients rather than the chef hat lights. I hadn’t seen these, but leave it to you to be out here enabling LOL! I can tell that the bottles and containers aren’t in scale with MV, but are the finished items? They still look kinda big? I’ve recorded, edited and uploaded 2 MV videos, but haven’t released them yet. It’s like I’m suffering from stage fright?! It’s not like I’ve never done videos before. 😒 TFS! 🩵

I think the hat would be better with more bulbs in them. I really like these as much as the make it mini, you dont have to try and follow the recipe, you could use it as guide and just have fun doing the dish your own way.... Sometimes I'll use puffy paint in my miniverse crafts instead of resin. Not sure if that's what the white stuff is, but it reminds me of it. Personally I like that I don't have to make the normal mini brands (also, where are the brands?) but I'd still try a couple of these out. The disposable light feels kind of wasteful but at the same time it was nice of them to include something I guess. Miniverse definitely has cuter packaging. These mini brands resin bottles look sad lol

I actually love the fact that they gave us “realistic” packaging, miniverse is all about whimsy and mini brands is about shrunken things from our kitchen. The light being so weak I think it has to do with the fact that kids can use it.

They're definitely better sculpted and painted than miniverse plus that "whipped cream" opened so many creative possibilities however i think the little packaging being only masterchef is kinda meh compared to the cuteness and collectible aspect of miniverse. I think it's great that they have competition since with can mix them up.

Honestly you are just to adding the broth part and I’m completely disappointed with MiniBrands for this. Not worth the price for this one and honestly even if it were three dollars wouldn’t buy it. Not sure if I’ll watch the rest of video or not. It’s not you dear, it’s the product. However I’m very grateful you did this. Tells me wether I’d buy the others or not. And sadly it’s a gamble, since you don’t know which ball has what. So with that said, I’d probably not but any of them.

Love the apricots and the roast potatoes, reallyyyyy don’t like the disposable UV light (what a waste), the plastic packaging and the ramen/onions lumped together! Not winning over mini verse for me, but some potential

First thing I have to say is you have an adorable personality . I bet children absolutely love you. It looks like the bags are paper and the bowl in the Chopsticks were so bright and adorable I didn't really care about the kind of dull paper package that came in. The other one comes with little individual plastic packages. Again I have to mention how cute and bright the bowl design. It is way more attractive and realistic looking fed the mini verse. The ramen of course it's going to be in a circle like that because how else would it be because you're going to be adding things to the top it doesn't need to be any different and what did you want it individual noodles I'm very confused I don't mean any offense it just sounds kind of strange like you're looking for something not to like. I think the container looks like a lot bigger than the other company the only thing I don't care for is the green onion it could have been flakes. Even though it's temporary the lamp is really handy. I don't know if you work with resin very often but if you pour that much as you did all at once it will take a long time to harden. So maybe you should have put a little later just making sure everything was connected and then did it in layers and it would have hardened much faster. I hope that helps. I've been working with UV resin and that's one thing you learn if you pour a whole bunch at once it's going to take forever to harden. So small amounts multiple layers. I just think the dish and everything looked adorable. They do give you a ton of resin which is way better than mini verse.

I am absolutely dying to get these. I am beyond excited for the savory items. But that apricot cheesecake, omg luv!!! I really like elements n dislike a few, like how the Ramen was stuck together already. I love how miniverse it's like individual noodles vs the already formed noodles in minibrands. But it's on par for minibrands. I love the ingredients in these tho more realistic in some areas. I think miniverse is more giving on extras tho, mini brands seems to just give exactly what u need. For me as someone who hoards her extras that's a downside to these. Overall I am so excited to find these. Can't wait till I can add these to my collection of minis!

Is the image printed on the paper wrappers pixelated? Maybe it’s just how it seems from the distance in the video. I don’t like the amount of waste there is going to be with all these lights. There is already waste with the balls but now extra plastic with the weak lights plus the battery.

Well, the ramen is a disappointment compared to the amazing one we have with Miniverse.😅 And clumping the green onion was poor choice for MiniBrands. They could have sold the light separate and went for better quality ingredients instead with the month they spent on the chefs hat.

I like the idea of master chef by Zuru but, Two things that is very important of make it mini 1. Exactly how do we change the batteries inside of the mini UV light, I try to twist the middle part off but, It didn't budge and I Know that I'm gonna break it that way 2. Where do we put mine UV chef hat whenever we collect them all 😂

I Think the ramen, chives, and chop sticks, all look like little cabochons... There is another way to make loose ramen and not look like Mini Verse ramen, same with the little green onions... And come on, they could of gave us separate chops sticks, theirs are prettier than Mini Verse chop sticks... Well, everything is all blobbed together so separate chop sticks would have been useless anyways ... I think the seaweed would look better cut up in strips or something... Just a thought...
