Strangely enough, I’m excited to messy up my house and declutter in the process now that the festivities hosted at my house are over. I find the best way for me to fix things is to spread everything out and go through bit by bit. I loved having family and friends over but I’m also relieved I get to start fresh now!

We work hard to avoid the mess when opening presents. We learned to fix this ahead of time by having lots of bags handy. This year my brothers girlfriend got a bit claustrophobic since she sat in the middle of everyone and had the bag at her feet.

1:18 a very pretty sweater, but the holes would make me too cold :) I looooved my Polly Pockets - they really helped pass the time places! 5:16 I am stuck at home with pneumonia (I guess I was naughtier than I thought I was!), so a cute video to enjoy while I rest and miss the few fun things I had planned is greatly appreciated! We just finished opening presents, and then we "run run rudolphed" out of the house to get to church on time - yay my first Christmas service at my new church - and i got the service time wrong, so, we ran around showering and dressing and blow drying our hair for no reason. Edit: 14 hours later, 11:10p.m., Wednesday, December 25th, 2024.... After we went to church, we did some more cooking - i had a Bologna and cheese sandwich, and we cooked a green bean casserole - and then we crashed for a short time, then packed up all of the sweets we made - Strawberries, rum balls, candied pecans, jam cookies, etc., etc., plus sparkling strawberry juice, plus a few board games - and went to my cousin's house about 20 minutes away. Visiting with my cousin is always chaos because it's only on holidays, so it's her, her husband, her kids, her friends, her husband's friends, their extended families, plus 4 dogs - now 5 because she's fostering a pregnant dog whose currently in labor!!!! I'm praying that we get a call tonight and can get back in time to see the delivery, but she could be in labor for a while. And it's a blind dog. The shelter named the mama dog Quiche, which is entirely wrong because they should've named her Oreo or Cookie, because of her black and white coloring. I hope they name the puppy or puppies something like Noel or Mary or Rudolph or another Christmas-y name. An x-ray showed only 1 puppy.
