The sniffer hands down is the best choice imo, I'd love to see more plants in the game even if they're just decorative plants. ancient seeds that would otherwise be unattainable, getting to hatch it yourself, the possibility of it being a ridable mount. There is just so much potential here not to choose the sniffer, and it's so damn adorable!

i feel like the sniffer just has the most going for it. find the egg to hatch it. he will find seeds for a new plant. and how they are talking about it, ancient lore. the others... one gives you tools that will only kind of be useful very early game then ever again. and the other holds items.

The Sniffer looks like a grass ground typed regional varient of Numel and Camerupt from Pokemon. Definitely voting for it! {Numel has a patch of green on it's back that resembles grass, and this mob's torso is a grass block.}

I don’t agree with this. It confirms a single plant, with just a simple curve. No berries on the vine, the other two are both better. And why would farming change? They have the main colors of dye, and would just add new flowers since dyes shouldn’t be difficult to get.

im voting sniffer. i love the idea of having a prehistoric mob may raise the chances of finally getting our archeology update which i was looking forward to the most. also the sniffing animation just seems so cool! + minecraft could really use some new plants and as we all know the sniffer will add those too, how could you resist the sniffer its so adorable!! i also do think it is the most useful one because late game we wouldnt need to play hide and seek for 30 minutes for lightly enchanted iron, and a tuff golem is neat but it really is just a walking item frame. sniffer >>

I personally already voted for sniffer but honestly the tuff golem and rascal are pretty cool too! 4 reasons I want the sniffer: 1: New plants could be used for decoration or we could even get some new food items which i think needs to be added because the only food items we have right now are bread, pumpkin pie, baked potatoes, cookies, the root vegtables, beetroots, etc. 2: The sniffer looks like a really cool mob and its design makes it look really cute! 3: It looks like a pretty balanced mob. I mean, if you want to get your hands on ancient seeds, it can't be too easy! 4: Maybe you could figure out how to automate getting ancient seeds? Anyways, it looks like a pretty cool mob. I am practically 100% sure the Sniffer is gonna win, and I understand why. It has the most going for it, basically to the point where it's just unfair of the other mobs. New plants, lore, possibly rideable in water, new mechanics. I wish there was as much stuff to the other ones, I really like to concept of the Rascal, however it is not done justice. It could be a cool way to make mining more fun, especially for single player, but if it only gives some enchanted iron tools and ores it's just not worth it. If what it gave you was unique, unobtainable in any other way, maybe was mysterious in one way or another, it would gain so much value as a mob. But honestly, I'm fine with the Sniffer winning, it's a really nice and cute mob!

Tuff Golem: Slightly better Item Frame/Armor Stand. It COULD (probably won't) come with hats. Rascal: Hide and seek doesn't seem very appealing for Minecraft, and loot doesn't seem good (it could be randomized though). It COULD possibly drop a bundle or backpack of some sort. Sniffer: A medium-large aquatic mob that WILL come with new seeds and plant types which are useful for most players at any stage of the game.

Possibilities: Ore vein map Grappling hook Satchel (hold several tools in 1 slot) Bundle This one's kinda in depth: Glow worm (possibly a food source, and a block that glows, and glows brighter when it eats a small flying mob, slowing like cob web, harvestable when glowing bright drops an extra glow worm)

Watching this im tied between the sniffer and the rascal I want the sniffer because i want new plants but i also want the rascal cuz i'd feel embarrassed admitting how many times i'd be stuck in a cave unable to get out for a long time cuz my pickaxe would break (I use to bring only 1 or 2 depending on how degraded the first one is but now i bring 3 with me) and playing a game of hide and seek and getting something like a pickaxe would really help if i'd be in that situation again

I don't think it would be the first underwater mobs, we have a few already. Like the drowned and the squid, guardians, fish, pufferfish and dolphins. Also sea turtles if you count them (since they still hatch on land but irl they are sea creatures)

@@Deleralia Do you know why the sniffer is popular? Because it brings more lore to the game. I want to see Matpat do a game theory. And that's not the only reason. It's cute. That is clear enough. And, it will bring more plants to the game. There are several different plants used for several different things. Think of golden apples, chorus fruit, and even regular fruit. If you've ever played Pam's harvestcraft you'd know just how fun it is to make foods. Besides, the rascal might be nice for the first 30 minutes of gameplay but once you have your own enchanting table, it becomes useless. And even then, when thinking about the pixie from the familiar mod, you'll see just how stupidly hard it is to find things using sound alone. Plus, sound isn't a great mechanic for those who may be playing without headphones, or are deaf. Minecraft tries to make things fun for people with disabilities and without. And the golem thing is just plain dumb.we have plenty of other ways to display things and it's it's like l be playing on servers all the time. Usually, I don't pay on servers at all. They are for multi-player use so many people can see you brag about your things.

Yeah, for this to work I feel as though they would need to rework the generation for mineshafts, it doesn't seem like it would be very easy after the caves and cliffs update and imagine chasing it for so long only to get some very mediocre loot as well because I'm sure not all items it gathers are guaranteed to be good or even decent at that

Honestly I might have to vote the tuff golem just because the sniffer looks cool but they did say that the plants wouldn't do anything special. The rascal is a cool concept but if it only gives you iron pickaxes then it would be useless late game. Between the Sniffer, Rascal, & Tuff Golem, for me the vote only REALLY comes down to just two of them, the Rascal & Tuff Golem. Now I have to admit i love to play in creative mode & sure the stuff Golem would be great for that & for flexing on my little nephews (especially one of them) in Minecraft, but I’m naturally prefer to be underground in Minecraft, now and days 9 out of 10 of my bases are usually located underground as it’s just simply cheaper to dig out a small area & get tons of cobble stone then it is to wast a bunch of perfectly good recourses &/or wood just to build a house that would be tough to hide from other players if & when I decide to play on a multiplayer server, plus being underground almost 24/7 in Minecraft keeps the Phantoms away so I won’t have to fight them so I can stay up as much as i want in Minecraft. & so therefore anything that could improve my mining & especially my underground experience in Minecraft is definitely something worth considering voting for, & the Rascal is PERFECT for my mining adventures, & i don’t know about you but iron & enchantments can be pretty had to come across if you get a bad spot so I think the Rascal would hemp improve the mining and underground experience for players like me. So yeah, in other words, I’m voting for the Rascal! 🗳

I'm personally rooting for the Rascal, because since the 1.18 update it's not that hard to get down to deepslate level (which is where the Rascal would be spawning) so you could get special items early in the game

Sniffer: new cool creature brought back from extinction that brings new plants with it, definitely good pick Rascal: the way of obtaining the rewards is unconventional, but it mainly comes down to what it can give you, so it’s a bit of a luck roll Tuff Golem: tuff is already rare to find, and we already have multiple ways to display items, so this most likely will end up being the least useful of the three

alright, im about to write a whole text on why the sniffer is the best lol. keep in mind, i'm not saying your opinion is wrong or bad, but hear me out. i'll start with the rascal. the rascal basically plays hide and seek with you, and if you find it, from what we've gathered, it'll give you an enchanted item. judging by how this option is the least popular option i've seen, i'll only skim it. the concept is creative of a creature in the mines, but the other options are slightly better and from what it looks like, if it does ALWAYS give you enchanted items, it'll be extremely unbalanced and may even ruin the point of earning an enchanting table for survival mode, cause you can just get it immediately anyways. it's cool, and the designs good, but the other options are better and i don't think this is worth throwing away your vote on. so, that leaves the tuff golem and the sniffer. the tuff golem is cool, but purely a cosmetic. the idea on it being in 'shopping districts' or 'functioning as a waiter or personal assistant in your house' doesn't work AT all, since its basically a statue, that when you activate, just holds ONE SINGLE BLOCK, and moves around, until it goes back to its spot and becomes a statue. it can't help you with anything, it just works as an extra inventory slot which any barrel or chest would be able to do anyway. the design is, again, epic, but the other options are just SO MUCH MORE USEFUL, mob votes are for MOBS, not DECORATIONS. (sorry tuff golem). it isn't too creative compared to the other options as well, and for what it looks, no new blocks will be added with it, which just makes it useless. not to mention the tuff golem is basically just a worse allay with the design of a tuff type golem. also, the thing about us already losing the copper golem, judging by what mojang has been doing, they likely won't stop until a golem gets added. so, if we vote for the sniffer, next mob vote we might get another golem, that's even COOLER than this one, so it isn't the end of the world. now, the sniffer. the best option BY FAR out of these three. the desc of the 'vote for sniffer' video says most of it's purposes. it's essentially a dinosaur. but it's a cute, useful dinosaur. it gives more purpose to the underwater ocean areas, and the idea of finding an egg, and preserving that egg until it hatches is amazing, almost like you have your own pet dinosaur in VANILLA MINECRAFT. NO mods. the sniffer's design is adorable, and it is SO CREATIVE too. it is basically an extinct dinosaur, that can grow into the size of a ravager, that you can look after and basically have it as a pet. it adds SO MUCH more depth to regular survival and is UNDOUBTEDLY the best option. not only that, but it's so much more useful than the other two. as stated before, the tuff golem is essentially a moving decoration, and the rascal could have SO MUCH MORE, but BOTH of these aren't said to add new blocks. the sniffer adds new plants, and decorations JUST from having it as a pet, and by the looks of it, it digs often and gives you new loot and new plants that you can only get VIA THE SNIFFER, making it so much better than the options. IT ADDS SO MUCH AND IS SO MUCH MORE CREATIVE THAN THE OTHER TWO. it adds so much to survival mode and i think this is the best option. don't get me wrong, the other options are amazing, and minecraft did so good on this mob vote, but sniffer is just so good also, i know im gonna get some hate with this comment but please don't take anything i said too seriously. opinions are opinions.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too much but the sniffer is described as an "ancient" mob and the word ancient is often used in video games to describe something that used to be in the game. This obviously wouldn't apply to the sniffer itself but I could totally see them finding some long missed "ancient" flowers, ie the rose.
