The sign says Cafe Au Lait, which is French for coffee with milk! I don’t know if that’s typically what you are actually buying, but that’s what it means.

Also, Duces shoe wings I believe are a reference to Hermes, the Greek god of messengers. At least in PJO, Hermes gifts a pair of winged shoes to the demigods. While not Medusa related, the delivery aspect is a little funny nod.

It’s tied to the myth! In some versions of the story of Perseus (the man who slays Medusa), he is temporarily gifted Hermes’s winged sandals in order to aid in his fight. In this version of the story in the monster verse Medusa obviously wins and keeps the shoes.

Oh my gosh, I did NOT know he was gifted the sandals! I just figured it was meant to be like… “he’s Greek too :)” That’s so cool! There’s so much amazing attention to detail and exciting things in monster high and I always learn so much through the dolls.
