ok, I’m convinced that Mattel is investing more effort into these ‘budget’ dolls than the pricier ones. I have three ‘Core’ Draculauras, and all of them have defects. Yet, I have three different ‘budget’ Draculauras (Monsteristas, Day Out, and Scaradise), and they’re all flawless! They have no defects, and they all feel like top quality. When you pick them up, they feel heavy and sturdy, while the expensive ones feel lighter and flimsy.

i’m so down for the designers replacing the plastic locker for a cardboard one, i think that way there’s still the gimmick for the kids and storage potential but it’s also recyclable for all the collectors who don’t want to keep it, and it’s better for the environment down the line. i’m thinking that because they made draculaura more red-based this time, maybe we can have a pink-based lagoona! mattel can’t pass up that pink girlie money 🙏🏻

imma need all the twyla dolls asap 😭 i have been checking target for fearbook for WEEKS so i can’t wait for that one but also the garden secrets twyla. i do like the skulltimate secrets series and i’m hype for series 5 especially, i will likely get at least one other doll if not the entire series, but i too have plastic locker fatigue. mattel does barbie cutie reveal with the same paper mystery bags and doll in a cardboard tube for not much cheaper than the monster high secrets in plastic lockers, and at this point i would rather buy something like that than another clunky plastic locker. plus i think people would be more inclined to buy doubles just for the doll/fashions if they didn’t also have to figure out what to do with the lockers. 🤷🏻‍♀️ i enjoyed this video and i’m looking forward to your abbey reroot video as well!

Fearbook Twyla should be hitting stores soon, I can’t wait for that line! Yes cardboard would be more sustainable and like you mentioned, help with potential sales for those of us who want doubles for customizing etc.!

Let me say some things about Monsteristas and the price of Monster High in Brazil. Here, the Monsteristas are known as "budget" dolls; they cost 140 reais (about 25 dollars). The core dolls are around 55 dollars, and the Skulltimate ones are more than 64 dollars. Considering the average monthly salary in Brazil is 247 dollars, Monster High is extremely overpriced here. It's really sad! I only own five G3 Monster High dolls, and three were gifts. I bought one on sale, and the other is a Deuce Ghouls Spirit that I got for around 20 dollars. AND YES, we have Draculaura and Frankie in saran! They're often on sale only in online stores, but it's like Russian roulette: will you get saran or poly? I'd love to chat and answer any questions you have about Monster High dolls in Brazil. Feel free to ask!

Love the SS Garden sets...even though poly hair, the accessories alone are pretty cool, that I'll probably get a couple. And I haven't got any of the other SS lines, because of the hair.

Only excited for Twyla and, Venus from SS5 no one else but them speaking of Ghoulia there's a lot of demand for her based on Instagram mentions for her and, I agree she needs more instead of the repeated main 5.

Commenting before I finish the video but I just woulda preferred a whole new budget doll line instead of a 3 pack with two new dolls, especially when like the point of a budget line is so us poors can afford them and putting them in a bundle kinda defeats the purpose a bit tbh, like I get you’re still getting 3 dolls for less but sometimes I only got 15 dollars and need a quick dopamine hit, I guess that’s what prerolls are for tho Also, why are there so many clawdeen and draculara sets xD like they’re could give us a Clankie date playset liiiike Another edit bc im finishing the video finally (adhd amirite) but imagine if they gave us like a cheap lil bag/purse instead of a chunky plastic locker 😻

Yeah the 3 pack is a bit weird and a whole new budget line that wasn’t tied to this 3-pack would have been nice! And I know what’s up with Frankie getting left in the dust lately, they hardly ever get included in these sets. Very weird I like the sound of that, anything that’s not these clunky lockers and I’m happy

Man there are going to be sooo many fall/holiday dolls I’ll want (Wednesday, Wicked, the rumored MH Beetlejuice set, the rumored Harley Quinn/Ivy, and now all these??) and these are all the ones we know about 😳

I am always done for new dolls. SS5 Draculaura is my favorite because of the color story. But, we still have not seen Spectra or the Ghoul book dolls in the states. I wonder what the hold up is?

I don't think we should call Venus hair change a travesty shes a hairstylist makes sense for her to ride change on every doll its also a g1 easter egg and people with texture hair like to change their hair too

I am so mad about the complete draculaura change from the set with car... she was so beautiful with her split dye and bangs.... I wanted to buy this set, but i am not so sure now...

Big agree with Venus’s hair. She can rock any style, but it’s a shame with her being one of four characters who have textured hair to just get straight hair. All hair is beautiful, so I just want them to try with her chair. With all the black coded characters hair. I will buy her, but I wish I had the chops to give her a black hair style. I feel like Bantu knots would have been so good for a doll like this. Drac and Twyla are ok ish? I was put off by the red and Twyla seems off to me somehow. I bet in person will help me a bit more if I truly do want them. The eekend get away Clawdeen looks gorgeous and I already want her, plus I never had the og black and pink monster mobile. I already want to get her and mix and match from the Clawdeen’s I have. The three pack is cute. I like a lot of the choices for Clawdeen and Drac but I wish Cleo’s was a cute refresh budget type thing. I would only really want the Clawdeen and Drac. I don’t really enjoy basic Cleo anymore due to her core refresh having been so strong. I am also a little burnt out with these releases. They really should slow down and go back to the drawing board. Monsterista Cleo is ok. I wouldn’t pick her up if I saw her. Over all it’s a lot of good and a lot of not so great but could be better. Lovely video.

The Monsteristas line only has Clawdeen with saran hair, I keep seeing this line at my local Walmart (I live in Tijuana, Mexico) and other stores that carry them and I haven’t seen Draculara and Frankie with saran variants 💔

This might not be a popular opinion but I like the locker sets. I always get them right away when they come out because you get both a doll, two outfits, AND a locker. Great value at just $30!

I think the lockers are gorgeous but if you really don't like em then wait for the dolls to go on sale. Neon Frights are on sale right now for just $10 each almost everywhere (mainly Target, lol). If you don't like the locker then just take it to Walmart's plastic recycling. At $j10 each the dolls are great for customizers.
