i just picked up all three of these beauties a few hours ago, i’m soooo hype to finally have them! i’m struggling so hard to not just rip into all 3 of them right away. so far i’ve only unboxed twyla and i’m just taking my time to enjoy all the pieces she comes with. tomorrow will probably be venus’ day. i absolutely ADORE how ‘90s vibes so much of the g3 fashions are, and this line is just peak ‘90s for me, with the crushed velvet and the dark florals and the platform shoes 😭 i graduated high school in 1999 and this all gives me so much nostalgia in the BEST way. something about the theming of this series feels so much more cohesive than the others, and i am LIVING for it! except … you know, the poly hair. 😩 i want to cry because these screenings are so gorgeous and the hair is … not. i wish if it had to be poly hair it would’ve been the nicer, softer poly like the drac doll that came with the food truck playset. did you see there’s a little tiny bunny - i’m guessing it’s dustin - in the steam from twyla’s tea cup? i really think all of the details on all of the pieces are on par with the monsterfest dolls. i’m planning to restyle one of my lagoonas with some of the second outfit pieces from the other ghouls so she can join the tea party too. if mattel won’t give us lagoona at the garden party, i will take lagoona to the party anyway! i was planning to use my core refresh doll because i really don’t like those mesh wide leg pants she’s wearing, but i also ended up with a second monster ball doll, and i’m thinking now she might be the better choice since she has darker, more dramatic makeup. awesome video as always! thanks for showing us your outfit picks 😍

I loved this line so much! The peg on the back of the gingerbread house is for the gingerbread bunny, you can insert the peg into the hole thats uually used for the dolls to hold that item, this way it doesnt get lost

47:38 well, Twyla’s pet is a stuffed animal bunny, and he has buttons in place of his eyes. The og Dustin (her pet), also has a button working as his eye, the other eye is like it’s missing the button, having a thread in its place. That’s the only thing I can think of to explain why Twyla has a button as her eye shine. But I think the idea of Dustin being a stuffed animal is because kids sometimes sleeps with their favorite plush when afraid of the dark, and maybe the boogeyman. Also a plush bunny with just one eye button is kinda cute-creepy, I love the og Dustin XD the new one is… alright, I wish he still had button as eyes, not inside like his pupils. Hope I explained well, English is not my main language 😅

I think they still gonna use poly because of the reveal thing, so I think the only way of having saran is be polite and saying that they use that Fibrer BUUUUUT keep in mind that maybe the SS line will be more expensive because the plastic gimmick thing and the saran hair so IDK what are fans think of this

i’ve seen a lot of collectors - myself included - say they’d rather have the dolls cost a little more and come with saran hair. but we’re not really the target audience and idk if hair fiber matters as much to kids. i know when i was a kid i didn’t know what hair fiber my barbies had and i didn’t care, i was just very careful to play gently and make sure it didn’t get tangled.

I can only assume the mesh faux socks aren't fully made. It's so that it's easier for the dolls to wear their shoes, because cloths tend to bulk up. Same principle why dolls with jackets tend to have undershorts without any sleeves. I wish the wisps or liquid used in the tea cups were translucent, but it's probably hard to pull.

my Venus's mouth is printed off and it bothers me so much but sadly I bond with my dolls as soon as I take them home so I'll be keeping her. I truely don't believe mattel is putting enough QC into these lines. I looked through the gates as much as possible in store to pick which one to get too but sadly the mouth wasn't visible. I should've opened her in the car but I was busy with my grocery list. My Draculaura's eye makeup is also slightly uneven which makes her eyes look a touch off even though they are straight. I'm so tired of mystery dolls and mattel needs to give us clear windows into the doll section at least, especially when these new storage boxes don't even have a practical use for the middle section(like the doll barely fits and you cannot really securely store clothing and accessories in there). I'm overall really sad about the lack of quality control on mattel's end in general and I HOPE they stop making mystery lines without visible doll faces up front. Twyla is iconic though, love her so much! Just wish her hair was better. The polypropylene is NOT holding the rubber bands in place on mine so her hair keeps getting weird and it's definitely not giving the intended look. I HOPE we get more Twyla but I am so sick of polypropylene, I would 100% pay 5 more dollars for saran hair and a window to see the doll's face next time.

If there is going to be a series 6 and 7, i hope we get max 3 lines with this lockers. Also they need to redesign the back of the lockers cause there is a lot of empty space, and I like that they are 3 cause that means the 3 dolls will be produced more so they will last long enough to go on sale on places like amazon, and its a little less evil to pay $90 or less for 3 dolls, than the original $150 and $120 buying the full set used to be

hot take here. Just got the dive/pop star skulltimates and.......I miss the old boxes/coffins. They were easy to storage because you could just put them back inside the package. Almost broke my diva cleo trying to take the leaver off to put back in package. It's the only complain I have, aside from that, dolls are great

What method do you use to reroot monster high dolls. I find that thier heads are hard and the needle breaks on a hard head even with lots of warming. What size needle to you use

I told the hair in half and add glue once I’m done! I know the knot method is popular too but glueing the hair in works well for me so I stick to that. For Monster High G3 the Chinese factory dolls have harder heads and the Indonesian factory dolls have softer heads so if you are breaking needles often a softer head might help! I use embroidery needles and size varies but 7-9 is what works best

I always use the spare space of my Skulltimates for storage for the accessories of the doll that is themed after. Except Frankie’s and Cleo’s. I mixed them cuz…they’re a couple 🥰 I do have to say that it’s my fault for not hanging the lockers on my walls so under my bed is a mess 😂 yet still, I love them! And for the people that don’t want the keys…gift them to your friends or family. Or you can make charms with them. I use them as key chains. About the screening….I always manage to get wonky Draculauras so….you’re lucky 😩♥️

I am confused, Twyla's second accesory is supposed to only be the sperm rabbit and Draculaura's the tongs. You either got lucky and got the missing tong or maybe this will be a small issue with the line in general

Ok I was confused by this too, I checked the stock photos and Drac is supposed to come with the tongs but instead they were allocated to Twyla instead. I checked the instructions that shows what items each doll gets and yep, Twyla gets both the cookie and tongs. Very strange last minute change I suppose 🧐

not gonna lie, i absolutely hate the velvet skirts. i rather would want them having unique bottems. i kinda get why they did it with the monster mysteries, but they don't really make sense in this line. and in my opinion does not really fit with the outfits. i hope they are not gonna include them with every skulltimet secrets line moving foreword sharing this kinda box. it's gonna get enoying real quick. having said that that's the only pet peeve i have with this line. love the rest of clothing, accesoires and they look absolutely stunning.

I’ve never liked the Skulltimate Secrets line, and this is no exception. I kinda liked the concept of the previous ones, but they always come with this awful makeup. I mean, Draculaura and Twyla are my queens, but this? And why does this line even exist? At least here, they don’t even sell at all, and for good reason. Lower quality dolls with a higher price tag?

My biggest issue is that, SS1 aside, none of the dolls have benefited from the Skulltimate Secrets concept (one of the two outfits ends up looking mid/not great and it gives them the budget constraints from a SS line). And they’re not bad concepts either, but there’s no reason why they couldn’t just be a regular line, ie SS4 being a regular ballerina themed line with higher quality clothes and a bit less pricey
