I just purchased this mouse and the box claims to seamlessly switch devices, but I can not figure out how to "seamlessly" switch. I keep having to pick the mouse up and use the button on the bottom.

Yes, you have to manually switch between them from the bottom button!

I have the MX Master 3 (the big one), the MX Keys (with the Palm Rest) and I‘m very happy with them. :) I use them with my 16“ MacBook Pro in MacOS and also Windows via Bootcamp and I also hooked them up to my 2020 12,9“ iPad Pro just for fun. If someone has a question, I‘ll try to answer them.

@Michael Barber The MX Master is great. And you can even access some kind of tab-switcher when I press the thumb-rest-button. The only issue I have, which is not specific to this mouse is that I can’t choose the scrolling direction individually for the Magic Keyboards trackpad and a mouse. I want the Trackpad of the Magic Keyboard to have „natural“ scroll direction and the mouse to have „unnatural“ scroll direction. That is how I‘m used to using mice. And I can’t set that individual in iPadOS, what I chose is applied to all accessories. On MacOS I can do that with the Logitech App. ...but this is an issue I would have with most mice. I would choose an Apple Magic Mouse 2 if I would get an iPad specific mouse for myself. It probably would not be as comfortable for me, but I haven’t tried a Magic Mouse yet, so maybe I like it or someone else does. With this one I would do the touch-pad-scrolling gestures, so I wouldn’t need to set it individually and you can also do the app-control-gestures from a trackpad. That would probably be handy. So despite the advantages the Apple Magic Mouse 2 has, there is no specific reason that I found that would make the MX Master 3 worse than any other regular mouse. You might want to check out the Apple one, but in terms of regular mice... this should be good as well for the iPad.

there's a difference between using it with touchscreen and mouse especially for doing some paperwork and all that. If having the mouse defeats the purpose of touchscreen on iPad, then apple will definitely not release mouse and cursor for ios 13 and just stick with using apple pencil.
