The biggest problem with Ballerina is not the «strong female character». There are plenty of action movies with credible female action character. Alien and Halloween franchises, La Femme Nikita, Kill Bill and so on. The biggest difference is that all of those movies were original stories, while Hollywood seems to take already established action franchise and just re-cast them with female roles and expect people to go see it. It’s as lazy as it gets. I’m sure most men wouldn’t mind a good, original action movie with female protagonist. Just not this type of recycled garbage.

So when Tony Stark takes punches from Thanos and flies at supersonic speeds it's fine but Sam Wilson (in his new Vibranium suit thanks to his Wakandan friends) is just in the same movie as Red Hulk, it's all of a sudden this insane impossibility? Like correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not like we've seen him tank a Hulk punch or cause damage to him. For all we know the movie has him getting ripped in half lmao. I'm the first in line to voice my dissolution with the recent MCU slate, but can we at least watch this one before we write it off? To this grizzled long-standing comics & MCU fan, this movie has me excited for potential Winter Soldier / Civil War vibes.
