Those were some solid metal releases all on the same day!

Good haul here… for me, I absolutely love the Stryper record. I think they are one of the few bands that continuously gets better with each record. The Flotsam and Jetsam is another stellar record. The Victory record is another. One release that came out that I absolutely love is the self titled record by the band the Nail. A Frontiers label band. Check it out if you haven’t.

Much as my cd bill is each month and gladly paid the extra ten for extra song on U2 live ep. Worth it to me. Thanks brother. 💯

That Hurricane shirt is great! I saw them open for Stryper on the "To hell with the Devil" tour. I saw Stryper on the Soldiers Under Command tour also(my first concert ever), then didn't see them again until the THwtD 30th anniversary tour. When we were Kings is actually really decent. I like that he isn't trying to scream all the time. This sounds more like classic Styper than the last few. That Flotsam album is great too. I especially like the last song!

You might want to check out The Nail, cd releaaed 9/13. Girish Pradham is the singer (from Girish & The Chronicles and the latest End Macine album), solid hard rock/metal with great vocals.

I love seeing the box sets you get. Mostly cause I don't buy many 😂. Too many discs at once for me. I definitely won't squeeze all those in. Cool!

I loved T-Rex. My introduction to the band was Electric Warrior. I remember back in the day when Marc Bolan predicted his early demise. It struck me as somewhat unsettling at the time, yet sadly it came to pass, no pun intended. Thanks for this week's update, Brendon

The New Stryper is Aweesome I agree I can’t stand that song Take it to the cross ..he sounded like Beavis and Butthead on that track lol I buy every album by them but the last few I haven’t cared a lot for …if you don’t have the album Fallen ,you might like that one but I agree the last 3 or so have not sounded to much like their original stuff …I usually see them live in concert every year but Megadeth was the same week so not this year …love your posts

T-Rex had three great albums Electric Warrior 1971 The Slider (my fave from the band, Ringo Starr took the cover photo of the LP) 1972 Tanx 1973 I call it the classic T-Rex trilogy.

There was a release delay of the Neil Young boxset here in the UK too, but I did get a refund of £40 off the price so it was not all bad.

I really don't know why Stryper didn't remaster their old albums.
@georgeprice4212Ай бұрын
Probably they’re not in control of the masters.
@markbunton9919Ай бұрын
They don’t own the masters. They put an album out called Second Coming a few years back with re-records of some of the old songs plus a few new songs. That’s a great way to experience those old songs. They didn’t change anything about the songs so it’s like getting remastered versions with more punch.

there are some remasters of their early albums by Hollywood Records and they are Japanese Versions

All these bands do you just buy them on a wim? how do you know all these random bands!
@BrendonSnyderАй бұрын
Of course not. I do my homework before buying anything. Guess I just know more bands than the average person.
@samkeepintherockaliveАй бұрын
@@BrendonSnyderBrendon, you should check out Blindside Blues Band, and Blindstone. They rock! They are not "metal", but more hard rock with a touch of blues. Good stuff!!

Before I got rid of my CDs, I catologued them in a database of my own. A lot of people nowadays use Discogs. Do you also do that? Once again, no female artists in your purchases. That goes with the territory I guess, hard rock etc. Don't you feel you're missing out on something? Also with regard to different genres.

On this video he bought Thunder Mother and he has also talked about other women musicians that he has purchased, I just can't think of the band names.
