Nesting in premiere locks in the frame rate of my timeline, so when I import into AE, it interprets my composition with the same frame rate as it is in premiere. If I didn’t nest, it would interpret the frame rate of my clip and not my timeline. This can create issues with rotoscoping.

@@edrixor find a style of editing that you do enjoy. I started out shooting skate videos and it progressed into music videos and then editing. I’ve been shooting for 15 years so I have a lot of footage saved up to use in tutorials. I also have new clients who send me their footage from all over the world.

If you shoot in 60fps like me, you don’t want to have to rotoscope 60 frames a second, it takes forever. I edit my videos in 24fps. By nesting the clip, I only have to rotoscope 24 frames a second instead of 60. If I didn’t nest, after effects would make me rotoscope all 60 frames of the raw clip. Does that answer your question?

@@VenterVisuals Aaah so nesting does also changes the frames of the clip to those of your sequence settings. Thanks a lot for the fast and precise answer! You just earned another follower ^^ Do you shoot everything in 60fps? Because a lot of Videographers say you should shoot a lot in 24fps.

@@kosmos7525 exactly!! And yea I always shoot in 60 - 120fps and then interpret it to 24fps in premiere pro. I like shooting in 24fps if I’m doing talking heads or interviews. But for music videos and creative projects, 60fps is my standard because I can play around with speed effects more.
