New & Must Have Craft Supplies | July 2020

I'm sharing new and must have craft supplies today! Including new supplies from Tonic Studios, Brutus Monroe and more! We'll start by checking out a new text background stamp from Simon Says Stamp, then review The Tonic Studios Aqua Shimmer Pens, move on to the Tonic Studios Vintage Drops in Chalk Stick and Bohemian Teal, next we will review several mixed media supplies from Brutus Monroe including the Grass Glaze, Velveteen and the heat activated Cotton Puff, finally I share how much I love the new Slim Line Envelopes from Simon Says Stamp. After checking out all these awesome products, I share several card inspirations to let you see the products in action!

Add a drop of water to the teal drops, shake really well and you should get smooth drops. If you still don't get smooth drops, add a bit more water. I did this to a new large (brand new) bottle of Nuvo drops, as I was so disappointed that I couldn't use it because it was too thick. The Nuvo drops are water based so it was just too dry.

My favorite is the SSS Thank You background stamp and how you used the Misti to stamp it with several colors. So pretty!

I know new product videos are not for everyone, but I just love trying and talking about products (and buying them of course lol). My feeling is that since my family is all remote (school and work) I am not spending money on new clothes and shoes so I may as well buy some new cardmaking supplies and support those small businesses lol! I was up until 2am the other night getting my recent stitching video done, but, sharing products and techniques is something I love doing, so it is all worth it! I'm have a serious thing for Nuvo drops too! The matte ones are so fun! Just a different look! Yup, I try not to buy too many background stamps because they are so expensive, but that one...I could see myself using it over and over! Have a great weekend.

I really love all the Close To My Heart shimmer brushes that match the papers, inks, etc. But I do love the Nuvo drops! They work so well and such beautiful colors. Thanks for showing the problems with the small ones.

Another person commented that you can add a drop or two of water to thin out the drops and get them to flow better! But I do think I'll stick to the regular sized bottle because for me it is easier to hold and squeeze. :)

I love using old text as backgrounds, I actually bought some old text sheets fromŕřģ a nice couple and because I had bought from them before they added a free gift which was a full book of old sheet music the songs were Christmas carols, so I used the papers on some Christmas cards I made and I also used them to make paper tree decorations, they looked very vintage & brilliantly different... I love the shimmer pens they're really sparkly. I don't know if you already know this or not but with the Nuvo drops, if you find they have peaks in them like your blue ones did, warm them up in your hand before using them, it sometimes helps. x

I really like the SSS stamp this would really compliment cards thanking the health professionals and those who have worked tirelessly over the last few months and continue to do so. I like the Nuvo pens very similar to wink of stella, I love all the glitter and glitz, was not a fan of the Brutus Monroe products would not really be a must have in my crafting stash. Loved the cards you created with the word stamp these were my favourites :). Just a shame Simon Says Stamp products are not available to purchase in the UK as international postage is crippling and then with custom charges on top.

It is super cool! If you apply a thick application it is already pretty puffy without even heat setting it! But the fact that you can heat set it and dry it in seconds is amazing!
