A few corrections: not every Gundam show is in the same timeline, but the main one is called the UC timeline, where the rx 78 2 appears in the first show, which is the one set in 0079 Not every mobile suit(the general term for the robots) is a gundam The rx 78 2 is also the only gundam in the first show I don’t believe the light force is gundam related, unless it’s from G gundam, which I haven’t seen yet and is way more similar to super robot shows than real robots(super robots being the ones that scream the attacks, and real robots being the ones that are basically big soldiers) They could also bring some of the pilots, like for example Char Aznable The collaboration may be tied to a few things: the franchise made mor money than one piece and dragon ball for bandai in this fiscal year A new movie(gundam seed freedom I believe) recently released, as well as the show gundam the witch from mercury They’re releasing a new game this august(gundam breaker 4) They’re releasing a new Netflix series There should be a new movie coming around the end of the year, iirc

gundam in japan, is of the same level of renown and popularity as star wars in the us. It is not just an anime but a huge franchise, alike to how star wars has an anime but is mainly a franchise. Apart from these two issues and that no mobile suit is a character, it is a war machine like a jet, pretty much everything else is correct.

The other main character, most likely, will be the suit of the Gundam pilot (Amuro)'s main rival Char. It's a red version of the Zaku II (the main bad guy suit, which is typically army green) with a horn. The leaked execution is a nod to the original Gundam show, where Amuro strikes that pose after he defeats his first enemy in the Gundam. Light force could be a reference to New type powers, which are psychic powers humans gained by living in space long enough in the original Gundam timeline that is expanded on in later entries. (Typically newtypes give off an aura which can be seen like flashing lights, or Aurora Borealis)

the bundle, judging from the execution move seems to definitely be themed around the original series. Though whether the RX-78 itself will be the playable operator or if they'll do Earth Federation soldier uniforms for other operators. It does make sense it's 0079 themed given the franchise is celebrating it's 45th anniversary this year

Gundam actually just released a a movie in theaters and have a game coming out in August, so I think the promotion is tied to that. Similar to the Warhammer event being marketing for the new Space Marine game even though it's a ways away. Most likely it will have the RX-78 Gundam and MS-06S, which is the Gundam used by the main antagonist. Unless it's more of a tie in for the new movie, then it might be the Strike Freedom instead.

Its Debatable on the "Strongest Gundam" Devil Gundam and God Gundam are interchangeable and 00 Quan through Unicorn gets Screwy as well. Though I'd argue Wing Zero is Last on that power scale TBH and Double X is probably on par with Devil and God Gundam considering it has a Portable Twin linked Death Star Lazer. But yes Turn A is the Strongest. For those that dont know Turn A can quite literally do a Solar System sized "Factory Reset" On ALL Technology knocking humanity back to the Stone Age. It basicalyl dose a Nano Machine Explosion that eats anything thats Metal, Conducts Electricity, ect .

RX-78 is not a basic suit, its the first of its kind of Gundams that was a prototype suit. Anything else are just newer suits. On top of this not all Gundams are within the same universe.

Let’s get a couple things straight. Mobile Suit gundam is a series that has been going on for the past 45 years (1979 to now) multiple different series and different mecha called mobile suits. The Gundam is a type of mobile suit. The most iconic gundam timeline is the universal century: 0079. And we’re going to be getting the original gundam (the rx 78-2) and the zaku, specifically char aznable’s personal unit The weapons seem to be based on the weapons of the gundam. The sheild, the beam rifle, and beam sabers. We got a finisher based on the first launch of the gundam where it slices through a zaku (the zaku are mass produced sorry forgot to mention that) and it blows up the reactor. Lightforce could be referring to “new types”(basically the gundam version of force users) but I ain’t getting into that shit ☠️ If u want to check out the series the closest thing to cod without going into the UC would be 00 and Iron blooded orphans. Just choose which one you want to watch and go for it I’m hyped for this collab and yeah sorry for this massive ass comment lol
