I'm not sure I'm right about the location either. But to be honest any location is fine, so long as we're looking at another fully-fledged My Time adventure :)

As a solely console player I was skeptical of Sandrock since the Portia version was so terribly handled. However they really stepped up and proved they do care about their whole audience, not just pc with them doing the Sandrock port in house. Definitely have my support going forward. ❤

Oh, you an me both. The previous version of the anouncement mentioned it's not gonna be "My Time to Wait" this time, whatever that meant. But then they edited it, so it probably didn't mean what we would like it to mean 😅

I backed Sandrock and played Portia - will definitely be backing this game! I think it will be an new town within the Alliance myself. I can't wait!

I missed Sandrock campaign and was inconsolable (I wanted the fennec fox pet!) :)

I think they will re-build the Project ME seeing as there is one of the characters in the screenshot also obvious similar environment. I think they will heavily edit the story, but probably keep the original idea behind it. In theory, they have a pretty blank lore so they could also move the location without a problem (that Sandrock world map doesn't tell us much). But seeing as Avery is here, I doubt he would appear just in any random location, so near Duvos is the best bet I've not followed this project much, mostly what came on reddit and that trailer. But I hope they don't go teen Logan route. I honestly had a lot of fun in Sandrock with easter eggs from Portia, even having our builders just mentioned was super cool. But I do like the theories that his mother was the one in the trailer

You're right, they can literally do whatever with the story and location, but close to Duvos makes sense. Fortunately I don't think teenage Logan is even a possibility. Turns out Project Me was supposed to take place a few years after the events of Sandrock/Portia, with Logan's Monster Hunter Guild already up and running. Logan's mother showing up would be a cool touch, and it would tie things up nicely. Now all I need is some hints about Aadit.

@@leafandgames Few years after MTAP and MTAS would be amazing. I was honestly confused about the timeline when i was playing MTAS with the missions, mentions and character appearances. What are the chances that that white haired woman from the trailer is his mother? Her disappearance was always deemed strange. I also know some people theorise it's Ursula, but she's too young (tho retconning is not uncommon) I need Aadit to do some explaining... But I hope we get more knights and duvos characters from previous games. It's always fun plot when they are involved. And I hope a certain someone will be out of prison

i think its going to be highwind, or possibly atara. i dont mind helping with the kickstarter but i definitely wont do early access, or buy the next game until they are done with all the post official release patches/fixes. the first half of my over 500 hours in sandrock (PC) was very frustrating with all the bugs and crashes. im just finally really enjoying my time at sandrock.

The scenery is gorgeous! I hope it isn't heavily into the "city builder/ governor path ME was, I'm not a huge fan of that type of game. Pathea may surprise me though and make it feel different in a good way. I'm looking forward to it!

Frankly, I'm not a fan of management games either. Not in the slightest. All I want is my tools and my workshop. But guys at Pathea were talking about wanting to make a regular My Time game with city building elements even before Project Me switched from mobile gacha to premium, so I suppose they won't let go of that idea easily. Besides I shouldn't be designing ANYTHING. I can't even design my own lot properly, let alone the whole town :D But if it's as easy as it was in the mobile alpha, it shouldn't be much of a problem at all. Still gonna look wonky when I'm done with it :D

Thanks for the updates, I haven't checked back in the discord after that @everyone ping haha. And oof, I was hoping the KS would start later, because my wallet is tight atm. Well, I'm looking forward to see the concept art and info they'll provide for this campaign. And hopefully it'll still be open when I can afford supporting them. 🥲 I missed all their previous campaigns.

I know what you mean. But yeah, I missed all their previous campaigns as well, I discovered the series a month before Sandrock went into Early Access. I'd like to contribute this time even though I sure won't be able to afford high tiers.

I feel cheated with My Time at Sandrock. I paid full price for game, but then later it was reduced. For the same price, I could have had the game and the update. So I wont be participating in their new kick start.

oof sucks that it went on sale so soon after you got it, I can see how that would be frustrating. But it's not really their fault though. It's normal for games to slowly reduce their price as they age + Steam and other platforms run those sales regularly each season (the summer sale being the biggest sale Steam does every year).

The KS is not a game purchase, it's a support campaign to finance the game. It's to show the devs that their project is viable and that we're interested and will probably play it. It has nothing to do with a normal purchase on Steam. And yes, you're right, if you're patient, you can wait to buy a game until it's on sale with a big discount. In any case, I'm going to support their campaign, because I loved Portia and Sandrock and I also know how much care, creativity and love they put into their games and how hard they work to get the result as perfect as possible, and how much they listen to their players. I have infinite respect for Pathea and her team.

As far as I know the price hasn't changed since the game's full release. There was a couple of sales, but they are a normal thing. I missed many sales in my life. If I felt cheated everytime I bought a game that got cheaper at some point, I'd stop playing games altogether. Of course it's your decision if you want to support the studio with your own money or not, and nobody can tell you what to do. But I don't think that missing a sale is a fair reason to be disappointed with the studio itself.
