Theres a reason for the North american continent not having blackcurrant as a common flavour as it is in the UK. the blackcurrant plants were found to commonly carry a disease which was harmful to pine trees . during the time the lumber industry was at its peak and so importing blackcurrant plants was illegal and so as it is not a known flavour in america and canada it is not used my most major american candy brands

It's also because blackcurrant have to be harvested really ripe so they don't have much shelf life, I live in the UK and even we can't get a lot of blackcurrant stuff apart from Ribena the drink, absolutely no fresh blackcurrant are sold in stores

Hey Matt! Wanted to explain something about those skittles.. Skittles is obviously known for "taste the rainbow" and having rainbow colors. Recently skittles partnered up with something called Switchboard, which is a hotline to talk about lgbtq+ pride! Many people need someone to talk to about their sexuality since sadly sometimes it's hard to find people that support/or understand. Now, when you buy a pack of those special skittles you are also helping a good cause, since skittles decided to use some of their sales from those white skittles to donate to switchboard in honor of the lgbtq+ community! :) I think it is a great cause. :)
