Great, I really wanted a flip through of this. This is not what I expected. So I won't be getting it. I wanted bottles shelves potions brewing herbs etc

I actually like this book and the last one you returned. The mythographics of Fabian’s and Joseph have never grabbed me. Watched tons of flip throughs but no buys.

Thanks for the flip, and I enjoy hearing differing opinions on books. $20 is the list price on several of the mythographic books, but you generally find it selling for 25-50% off in most cases. I don’t think I’d spend $20 on a mythographic book unless I just really liked many of the pics-if I’m going to spend that much, I’d get a Japanese or Korean book that I liked more of the pics in (but probably wouldn’t even to that, tbh. I’m disabled and on a budget). But hey, for those who do buy it, I say “good for you”, as everyone has a choice of what to spend and on what, and it’s great we all have that choice.

I really liked the last one and even if you did not, I bought it after watching your flip through, but this one I don’t think is for me. There are a few pages I really liked, but not enough to buy it.

I guess i flash back to the original Joseph Catimbang books with tons and tons of tiny details /leaves and the hidden objects to boot... these new artists don't have anything on that! LOL I like this book overall even though i was expecting more bottles /potions/plants pages

I love how we all have different tastes. I'm not sure this one is my cup of tea because of all the tiny details. I got the Mythical Beasts one as I'm a mythology nut :)

I returned this one as well. I did like Mythical Beasts. But a lot of the pages in this one reminded me of shutterstock style images. Definitely disappointing. But the artist has also done a Mythogoria which has quite beautiful artwork...so I'm hoping she just needs to get her non-gory legs under her lol. Thanks for the flip through. I always appreciate your honest opinion.

Very disappointing. I waited for a flip before deciding if I’d buy it and was glad I did. To me, few of the pages say magical apothecary. I think of herbs and magical and rare ingredients, potion bottles and shelves of strange things, alembics, mortars and pestles and beakers and dark old buildings. I even created a list of what sorts of pages I’d include in a magical apothecary book. However, I’m no artist, so the list will remain just that, a list. It’s too bad this book fell short.

Aren’t all Mythographic books super detailed though from what know? That’s why they’re definitely not my style, I don’t like to color such tiny stuff, I find it boring personally though the art itself is beautiful to look at

Oof Mythographic you are not doing it for me... at all! I think it's the really thin lines mixed with the thicker lines, it's kind of AI looking with the different line weights. I'm also not liking all the ribbony smoke wispy things winding themselves into almost of the illustrations. Thank you. Sadly I will be dropping any further interest in mythographic. Thankfully we are not deprived of fantastic artists.

I agree it’s not quite what I thought it would be. It’s a little disappointing. I have to like at least half of the pages in a book before I will buy it. And this one. miss the mark for me. 🫤
