I love a red lip and today I came up with the BEST hack. I'm definitely not the first person to ever do this but I lined my lips with a liquid matt lipstick on an angle brush and used a cream bullet lipstick to fill in the rest. It worked really, really well.

Quick economics: will prices keep going up forever? Yes. It’s all about offer/demand. When inflation hit an all time high last year, prices went up really quickly. But now it’s slowing down, so prices keep going up, just slower. Economists defend it should always go up, at a small rate of course, because it’s a cycle. People are making more money, they have more money to spend, they spend too much money and you start having too much demand (specially bad if prices go down). In this case, you will start having a hard time keeping up with demand. If inflation gets too high, and prices rise too quickly, we hit a recession because people can’t afford anything. In conclusion, yes prices will always have to go up but salaries typically go up as well. (The problem the last few years is that salaries are not growing at a rate like in past years but that’s a whole different conversation)

Honestly I’d love to see more of the palettes I’ve already invested in. It should be normal to do looks with a palette you bought 2 years ago because we all are still using those palettes. When I watch a makeup look I will try to replicate it with what I have already. I have palettes that I wish there were still tutorials being made with them! I think people blame influencers for being over consumers, but it’s also the people watching demanding reviews of new things. We are also part of the problem. So let’s start normalizing not pressuring people to buy, including influencers. I think if you receive PR with new releases then I’d enjoy a review. I keep lists of things I’d like to try when I use up what I have. But if you use things you already have and I don’t, I’d just use what I have to replicate. That’s realistically what most people are doing anyway. I think those that appreciate that you are using up products are going to be thrilled and those that are big consumers and have a need to have the latest regardless of money will likely watch someone else. I think you should do what YOU want and your community will continue to evolve into people who want that for their own lives and gravitate towards watching realistic lives. I’m not here just for makeup, not even a little bit, so there’s plenty of things to watch and enjoy if someone doesn’t align with using things up! Steak, eggs and asparagus! Legendary! Please hang this on the wall in your office.
