I literally rushed out to get this foundation as soon as it dropped like 1.5 months ago bc all of KZbin was raving about it but I was wonder why I couldn’t find the right color and why it didn’t work for me. You articulated it so well. You and I are actually like an exact match, I can usually just buy the exact colors you use and I’m good so it’s no surprise to me that u don’t have a match, I didn’t either!!!! I was wondering why bc everyone was raving about the foundation! Thanks for making me not feel crazy!

I have oily/combo skin and I actually love this foundation. I've been using it almost everyday for the past few weeks. I was afraid the radiance would be too much for me but it stayed put for 12+ hours with very minimal shine... I use the shade Macao and I used their pore and oil control primer and then set the foundation with their pressed powder in the shade Mountain. Works for me 🤷🏽‍♀

Hey Shayla girl, just wanted to say that NARS has lots of golden yellow undertone foundations. For me, they come off as a tinge too yellow. They are actually pretty well known for it. The shade Tahoe is a good example. And there new shade Moorea just to name a couple. Maybe you could mix Tahoe with Cadiz or mix Moorea with it. I don’t know lol.

My shade is Valencia and it really is the perfect match. I used to make Syracuse “work” but it was always a tad dark and waayyy too brown for my golden/olive undertone.

And honestly Shayla, you were exactly right when you mentioned the foundation looking gray... I swatched all of the darker shades at Sephora this weekend and every single last one of them was gray!!! Pretty much casket ready shades for deeper skin tones..

jodiii122 The formulas look grey on you because they are the wrong undertone. There are people from South Sudan who are wearing the darker shades with no problem.

I see your point, but let me clarify.. [For reference I'm in between an NW 43 & NW 45 from Mac. I wear New Orleans in the Nars All Day Luminous foundation. (a little dark for me but I use concealer to make it work)] For shades in this range that I swatched from the new Nars foundation, they all looked gray to me .. the undertones were all off

I tried Macao and it ended up being too dark I went with Caracas and love it. I refuse to buy two colors.

Me too.. Macao was too dark after it oxidized... I considered Caracas but I'm trying Belem... Hopefully it won't be too dark...

Update! I tried Belem and it looked Nice! They sent a few samples that had Cadiz and Caracas, let's just say Caracas looked great on me... I think I'm going to return Belem and use Caracas! 😊

I am oily no combo and I love this foundation. I use the too face sweet peachy matte primer... I set it was my MAC powder and it’s been 10 hours and my face looks good. Yes, I had oil come through around hour 6 but I looked hydrated not oily and greasy. I recommend a good primer and setting spray if you are oily like me. YES, I am oily but I don’t always want to look matte and boring. I hope this helps someone because the foundation is really beautiful.

I have combo-oily skin and I’m in the shade Cadiz! I tested it at work, after 6 hours or so, it started breaking down in my t zone! I really wanted to love it because it looked so flawless when I first applied it. Maybe I’ll try it again with a different primer or powder

I’m confused about NARS. So this lasts longer than the Sheer Glow with better coverage? I loved the Sheer Glow but couldn’t find a match. I’m in between Fiji n Stromboli. Everything in between is too neutral or pink. Def am not buying two shades. I’m wondering if they made my shade since it’s been 7 years. I’ll have to check it out.
