Just before I started this video, I thought that exact thing about lipstick .... last year was foundation year, and now we've begun this year with lipsticks. I can think of at least 4 lipstick launches this month... and it's not over.

I love a good red lippie! I really like the cool toned one. My favorite red was continued years ago - Borghese Scarletto. They brought it back but it the formula wasn’t the same. I am still on the hunt for the perfect red. Another tip I have learned over the years is to always stop a smidge short of the end of your lips on each side. The lipstick will naturally migrate to the ends as you talk, drink, eat, etc… Having a bit of bare lip for it to move to will keep you from having Joker lips.

I really love Emilia on you! Gigi is also very pretty. I do like reds but don't wear them on a regular basis. I enjoy my Givenchy Night in Red a lot so far and now I'm debating on whether to get Emilia or not.

I agree about the filler. Rebecca you don’t need it plus it never looks like what you thought cause filler only plumps upwards the lip skin you have. It doesn’t create more lip so many people with thin lips just look like they have upturned lips from an irritation but their top lip still looks thin. The full plump/Angelina Jolie look never happens unless you insert implants.

I never wear red lipstick, because it always ends up on my chin for some reason. Even when I wore it when I was younger, I wore a very balmy formula. That was a bit easier to work with.

I received LE Velvet Ribbon for Christmas and I love it and the liner but it is a constant process to keep it looking good throughout the day Ave I’m very self conscious when someone comes in my office as to whether or not it has faded off in the middle 😕

Ohhhhh soooo pretty💋💄I think red lips are flattering on folks, myself included. It always seems fancy and not worth the effort for every day. However, I often think back to my grandmothers and their friends AND that is all they wore as ladies who lunch❤ That was just the norm and it definitely didn’t seem too fancy but just every day. Not sure why we went away from glam at any time of the day vibe but I’m willing to give bright red lips a go. If not just for nostalgia and memories of my grandmother ❤

Hi Rebecca! Honestly, ND lipsticks don’t excite me. I picked one up last year and wasn’t super impressed. I thought it was just ok. Now I understand she has changed the formula and these are completely different but her lipsticks just aren’t exciting to me. I get the impression that this might be her Valentines release and truly I’m hoping it’s not. Lol Her eyeshadow palettes are what excites me and I’m hoping she’s going to release a palette. Keeping my fingers crossed.😂 As for wearing red lipsticks, I don’t wear them super often but I definitely am drawn to them every holiday! Lol I love red lipsticks. ❤😊

I consider myself more of a “collector” of red lipsticks. 😂 I love them, but like you, I don’t actually wear them nearly enough! My favorite is Scarlett Spell, a limited edition from Charlotte Tilbury, a couple years ago I think? I also love Velvet Jazz from Lisa Eldridge and Daring Red from Chanel. I am happy to admire the Emilia shade from Natasha Denona, but don’t feel like I need to add it to my collection. It sure looks beautiful on you! 💋

You have the perfect lips & face for dark lipstick!! I've always thought that and if I were you I'd live in dark lips. Seriously a dark lip & mascara and you'll always look put together.❣️ Because I'm lighter & cool I have to be careful but I still wear dark shades often. So I need a therapist because I LoVe to buy red lipstick 💄 💋 but very rarely wear them. Just like nothing gets me more excited than colorful eyeshadow pallets and i rarely wear. I now need to decide if I want to get one of these or the red from Hourglass 🤔. Not a silly question at all. I’m a beauty and fashion journalist so any ideas I have are from interviewing the artists themselves. But most are just ones I’ve discovered in my own clumsy way. If I were to have had formal training, they would have failed me im sure. Haha

Rebecca you look gorge with red lipsticks but you're right to over line your lips for red as red and dark lipsticks tend to smallen the lips (I think I've invented a word in English here 😆 smallen). I love red lipstick but it really doesn't match me as good as nudes and pinks. I love red lips with green or blue or gray eyes. So I just purchased the 2 pencils. Somehow red pencils look nicer on me especially as I really smudge them, they become like my own lips but redder (a second invented word 😄). Thank you for your always happy, nice humored reviews. Rebecca, I'm very much an admirer of red lipsticks! I can't think of all the brands now but ones that I grab for most are my Chanel, MUFE and Burberry. If I don't wear a lipstick that has a mid to strong colour, I simply get washed out. The issue that I experience the most is keeping lipstick on the lips. I bit the bullet and bought Dior's Universal Lip-liner which is amazing. I do prefer retractable lip-liners and get so frustrated at the majority sold in pencil format causing unnecessary waste and time consuming. Are these lip-liners waxy enough to stop lipstick travelling or do I need something else? I love the stiletto shape which suits my small lips perfectly, just like MUFE. You look great wearing red lipstick and should do so more often.💄🇦🇺💖🕊

Thank you for the confidence boost! I appreciate it. Going to be honest, these liners are creamy and delightful but they’re basically like a slightly slightly waxier version of the lipstick. Not waxy or firm enough to keep the lipstick in its place.
