Additional details and clarifications: To achieve almost 100% golem uptime with all the golems I recommend, awaken your head slot and one offhand slot. If you’re just starting to awaken gear, awaken your upper weapon slots before your lower ones, as certain recurring events (eg wild brawl, conqueror, alley of blood) deactivate your lower weapon slots. Inherit corrosive slab on your awakened offhand. These two awakenings, plus max essence mastery on corrosive slab, will grant a combined 23.6% cooldown reduction for command golem, so you’ll only need 6.4% general cooldown reduction to cap it at 30%. Sources of general cooldown reduction include magic attributes on necklace, gloves, and rings; the bottled hope legendary gem; and legendary head and shoulder runes. When I mentioned timing of bone armor, I was speaking of when you have more than 100% uptime on it (ie the green circle is still ticking down when it becomes available again). Another thing that this leeway allows you to do is safely pop bone armor just after you’ve summoned a mage, so that it’s also affected. Due to the cooldown cap of 30% per skill, rare head and shoulder runes (granting beneficial effects duration) can be superior to the legendary ones granting cooldown reduction, depending on your build and base cooldown reduction.
